I was just minding my own business, browsing along, and this ad appears on a perfectly respectable web page.

What a shock! I was under the impression that Condi was as popular with the left as Hillary was with the right. Anyone else seen these? Is there some reality here, or is this a cruel parody?

I believe it's a link to a NewsMax poll, and a way to get you to subscribe to their website. There are a lot of people encouraging her to run but I don't see it happening. I don't think she's got what it takes to endure the run for president, and she won't put herself into a position where she'd be under constant, ruthless attacks. I could be wrong though.

One can only dream.

It would be great to see a debate between Hillary and Condi...not necessarily as candidates, but just a debate on almost any interesting topic. That one, I'd bother to watch. :)

Well if a black woman is going to make a run for high office it would make sense that she come from the political party that always has represented civil rights. Unfortunately the party that pretends to be the civil rights party will lynch her for straying from the plantation.

What a shame that a less qualified carpetbagger, a socialist in synthetic sheep's clothes, has a better chance.

We know you would. Her political base would consist of hard core Kool-aid drinkers like yourself, (the ~20% of voters who think that Bush has done a good job), and maybe her blood relatives. No, scratch that. Her sister is renown civil rights attorney Connie Rice here in L.A., maybe you could educate her on your theories about Republicans being the party for the underdog and get her to vote for her sister. :rolleyes: :D

The Dems could run Kerry's goofy-ass wife and probably win on the general "throw the bums out" sentiment....

Bush's greatest failure has been allowing the media to slander and falsely malign his and the nation's credibility. I love how those guilty of creating Bush's image giddily cite the polls but neglect to publically take any credit for manipulating them. I am sure while sipping their champagne they are self congratulatory and quite proud of themselves.

Oddly enough, she might actually be too smart to run.

If she is smart at all she will not consider it, she has about 8 strikes against her.

She's in political hiding in order to prevent the far left from reving up an anti Condi campaign. Her announcement will mobilize all Dems to prevent minority dislocation from the Dem base. Even Dem female voters will pick her over Hillary. Without the miniority base the Dems will be fish bait.

She'll be a rough one to attack without political baggage.

No knowledgable person would question the IQ of either of them; they are both extremely bright, competitive and well educated with extensive real world experience in politics and foreign policy.

Condoleeza Rice has the distinction of being one of the prime architects of possibly the worst foreign policy strategic blunder in the history of the United States, (if not the world). And she doesn't have the luxury of Americans' short memories in her favor, it is occurring in real time right now. Intelligence ceases to be an advantage when one is a "True Believer" like the neocons with their direct line to Jesus, all evidence to the contrary of your plan becomes heresy.

Also, I think that it is unfortunate that a candidate's bedroom life gets dragged into things, but there it is. The mouth-breathers on the right openly acccuse HC of being a dyke, now they want to run the gayest woman on earth?? HC is at least married w/ a child, for chrissakes. It should not be a factor, but thanks to Republicans and the religious right it is. And CR's personal life is, well, strange. :cool:
