The World's Fastest Indian!

Holy mother of God,

they made a movie about Burt Munro! This is going to kick ass!

I'm just speechless. Finally this guy gets some recognition..

Looks interesting! Seems kinda weird having Anthony Hopkins in the lead role, though.

Burt Munro was probably the most hardcore DIY'er that ever lived.

Just saw this movie, finally.

It was f*cking great. I mean, best movie I've seen in a LONG time.

If it's still around the theatres near you, GO SEE IT.

Have heard that it was good. Cannot wait to get back in country so I can see it.

Maybe a group of us should go and see it together in Vegas!!??

I almost never go to the movies. When I watch them at home, I never hear anyone answer their cell, talk, eat loudly or listen to kids crying. Looks like a good flick though. What is wrong with Hopkins as Munroe?

Nothing at all. He did a fantastic job--best role I've ever seen him in, actually.

BTW, this is one for the theatres...there were 5 other people in the entire place with us when we saw this movie. The Bonneville salt flat scenes on the big screen are worth the price alone.

i was just in nz and saw this film in a run down old theatre in a little town called Hokitika - it was a great film and it was kinda cool to see it not far from burt's hometown.

ps. the gf and i we're over there for a wedding but had a mate's 2.7RS touring replica as our hire car for a week of touring beforehand - fantastic!

That's not an Indian, that's a parts-bin Harley with the Indian name purchased and glued on.

Seen it a couple weeks ago. Not very many theatres showing it around here. Excellent movie...Anthony Hopkins is perfect in the lead role.

I went & saw it after reading the reviews here & absolutely loved it!!! Best movie I've seen in a long time. I think they did a great job of capturing how people treated one another 50 years ago. Anthony Hopkins was great.

If people didn't know....... Burt's indian was a Scout, not a chief so the engine was a lot smaller displacement. Those bikes even in their day were using old technology compared to what the other competing brands had.

Yeah, BlueSkyJaunte is absolutely right. That "Indian" pictured above is ALL Harley copy. The "Indian" engines were direct copy of Harley's evolution engine that S&S company (contracted to Indian) produced. Only the cam chest cover and cylinder ports were different.

This was one great movie. It really demonstrated that perseverance counts for everything. My wife really liked it as a motivational story.

This is a must see movie for everyone.
