yeah..i miss 'the club'. all of my friends who didn't fly were rather envious of all of the exotic locales to which i flew. of course the reality is that all too often, especially with the time spent in air ambo, we never leave the airport boundary..are lucky to get a cup of joe while making sure we have prist, proper fuel load, w&b done, flight plan filed, coordinated with dispatch..determined what 'sqwawks' we could live with and which we couldn't (right) before buttoning up, giving the standard passenger briefing and turning to my foreign co-pilot (paying to work, btw, but being 'worked' on the certificate in the gray areas of part 135/91) for a crew briefing and blasting off, flying so many hours, to land for another '10 hours of rest' before that goddamn pager goes off again and the cycle starts back up again..out for 2 weeks straight. but damn, i miss it! in my 'cargo days' flying the 20 and 30 series out of detroit or el paso, but mostly old 20's...we even had lr-23 serial numbers 9 and 16!

Joe, landed Scottsdale (SDL) from Maui at sunset last night; was gone 20 minutes later. Was a small chance that we were gonna Remain OverNight (RON), but we were told to Return To Base (RTB). Friday back to Aspen, then from there to Antigua on Sunday for a week.

I go to places, like today.. HOU,ATL,GSP,ATL,AVP, and tomorrow, AVP,ATL,XNA,ATL,BQK and Friday BQK,ATL,BWI,JFK,ATL. WooHoo.......(hard to type in sarcasm!)

and I work a block and one half from LAX... some fun now...

Judging from the pics it looks like a great time was had by all. I was so close (actually only a few blocks away) but tied up with something.
