I'm sure it will. Shaun has never impressed me as someone to go back on his word.

Guys, lets do something easy and cheap (Vegas) or something in the center. While I might drive to Seattle, it would also cut off loads of people for who its just too far to come. Same thing with Boston...

St. Louis? Kansas City? Something in the center and warm this time of year! Dallas? Atlanta is a ways East IMHO...

I'm in.

When I used to ride, my favorite was the 101 up and down the three coastal states. Ah, those were the days. Bedroll, tent in case it rained, toothbrush....ummmm.....oh yeah. Controlled substances.

Yes, we're having a Pelicanhead swinging door roundup here for the rest of the year. Just come by when it's convenient.

Hey Todd, can I ride with you? Much quicker then going in my VUE... :D

I'm shaking at the knees wondering what to do for entertainment. It's hard enough for one in Seattle, let alone for 8+ strangers.

It'll have to be a tourist trap kind of place for decent airfare offers - that I would imagine would be the biggest objection.

However, based on deals it's gonna be Vegas.

TOAD SUCK MYSTERY SOLVED AND SOLVED AND SOLVED AGAIN
The story you'll hear from the locals and read in the Arkansas Historical Quarterly is that this place was a popular spot for the bargemen to pull over and drink rum and moonshine. They are said to have "sucked on bottles until they swelled up like toads." There you go. Toad Suck.

http://users.aristotle.net/~russjohn/toadsuck.html

seems as appropriate a place as any..and it's kinda centrally-located. :)

what happens in Toadsuck stays in Toadsuck?

fastpat 03-27-2006 03:06 PM

The 2005 FiverFest, for BMW e12's and e28's, was held at the Hyatt Regency in Greenville, SC; which happens to be 15 miles from yours truly. Worked for the 300 attendee's and 200 cars that showed up. From the Hyatt there is a really good brew pub with good food right across the street, and one about three blocks away with 64 microbrews, english beers, and others on tap. Yep, 64 taps in a two story pub, hard to beat, ain't it.
:D

But who will protect the compound while you're out? Automated sentry guns?:)

The guard, the one with the Uzi and named LeMoyer, takes care of those trifles. You'd best call him Mr. LeMoyer, sir.

Or on the other hand he could be called "down"...

One shot, one kill. Snipers do not need automatic weapons.

Too bad that you did not see fit to join us in Vegas. We would have enjoyed it...

Wasn't a case of "seeing fit", just too much going on here to pause.

We're building up to a major home renovation which will include a completely new kitchen/den/screened porch, meeting with both landscape and home architects, supervising land clearing, and running the tractor and backhoe myself to begin clearing the wooded area for the garage. We're going to be hardpressed to finish by late next fall or early winter as it is. I haven't plowed the garden up yet, or finished the chicken coop land grading. And on and on.

cool_chick 03-27-2006 07:01 PM

It was really nice meeting you all (and seeing you again, Joe, Todd).

Great time.

M.D. Holloway 03-27-2006 07:30 PM
