Hmm, is #1 full of candles? #2 is easy, she's a photographer. for #3 it doesn't say you have to use only 1 barrel. #5 yesterday, today, tomorrow. #6 the whole paragraph is about the paragraph?

#4, no idea yet, still thinkin'

Without looking at the other answers, here are my answers:

1. The room with the lions - if they haven't eaten anything in three years, surely they are dead! If they are alive, their past preference for not eating would still encourage me to chose that room.

2. She photographed him (shot him). Then developed the print (held him underwater for 10 minutes) and hung him out to dry (hung up the photo to dry).

3. Simply freeze the contents before putting them in the barrel.

4. Newspaper? Black ink, you 'read' it, and after the oils on your finger mix with the print, it turns to grey.

5. Yesterday, today, tomorrow

6. There is no "e" in the entire paragraph.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Here's one for you:

In a square room (four corners), there sits a cat in each corner. Infront of each cat, there are three cats. On each cat's tail, sits a cat. How many cats are in the room?

4 - the walls behind the cats are mirrors, thus giving the illusion that a cat is "sitting" on its own tail.

Actually, 4 is correct, but no mirrors are necessary - each cat sits on his own tail.

1. The room with the dead lions.
2. She's a photographer.
3. Freeze one of them.
4. Gunpowder.
5. Yesterday, today, tomorrow.
6. No guess for this one.

Charcoal, damn! I guess since I've been using a gas grill for years, no charcoal in 25 years...

I didn't think you guys would get it so fast!

I posted the same quiz on a couple of other forums. It's really a teaser for a trivia quiz I'm planning to organise on another forum. Would there be any interest here? Say ten general knowledge questions a day?

Yes, because you'll finally make OT worth interacting with once again.

Hmm, something to stimulate your mind or more political crap that will rot your mind...

Yep, more questions would be good.

Remember - here on Pelican, you're not dealing simply with dorks - you're dealing with Uber-dorks!

Trivia contest? Hmm - sounds familiar. Oh yeah - I run a weekly trivia contest. 10 points for the person who first answers the question, and 5 points for the 'runner up' folks who answer thereafer. 1st, 2nd, 3rd place finishers at the end of the year get $$.

Last week's question was:
What did the first vending machines in the United States dispense? Bonus: Where and in what year?

This week's question coming up...

If anyone's interested in joining the fun, let me know here, PM, or email - I'm not fussy.

-Z-man.

The first vending machines were greek (Temple of Athena I think) and dispensed a holy water or oil.
