spring is in the air!!
looks like spring is finally beginning to get here to nor cal. found these two this morning while walking creeks looking for slides or other damage. get it on!!!

Funny story, happened yesterday:
Driving home from my son's preschool, down dirt roads. Saw a car stopped with a turtle right in front, I thought 'cool, I'm not the only one who helps out turtles crossing the road'. Pulling by, I noticed that the driver was a hot hot hot 18ish girl, so I stopped and rolled down the window and offered to move the turtle for her, you know, cuz hot chicks wouldn't want to touch a turtle, right? Well, she says "No thanks, I can get it, but there is a big snapper up a little further, and he snapped at me so I just drove around, you could move that one for me (all said in do me now voice, hot)." So I drive off thinking ' yeah, little snapper scared the girlie girl', whatever. 200' ahead I see a boulder in the road. Shell was 18+" front to back!!! Big snapper, I helped him to a pond and he was cool about it. Still can't get the smell off my hands though... -Jeremy

Alligator Snapper?, I dunno, it is just like the ones I see everyday in my lake, just a little bigger. There is a long standing legend that there is a monster snapper in our lake, like 3' across. I have seen some huge heads, but that thing would be like people sized head...

As a matter of fact that might just work - she is a vegetarian ! Magnus, I know, youŽd think I had the perfect set up. She is not impressed however and she hates my Porsche anyway. Robs her of money she needs for shopping..
