LOL Dem's need to remember about people in glass houses

Saw this on CNN.com:

Senior Democrat on House ethics committee stepping down

Friday, April 21, 2006; Posted: 5:10 p.m. EDT (21:10 GMT)

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The top Democrat on the House ethics committee, Alan Mollohan, will leave the panel -- at least temporarily -- while he defends his own financial conduct, Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi said Friday.

Mollohan's decision comes in an election year when his party is accusing majority Republicans of allowing a "culture of corruption" in Congress.

Mollohan, of West Virginia, will be replaced by Rep. Howard Berman of California, a former ranking Democrat on the panel. Mollohan has denied any wrongdoing.

yada, yada, yada

Another big story quietly slipped out late on a Friday afternoon. Not the first time that's happened. Here's another story that will ruin pass-the-fat's weekend.

Actually, you should be happy that some people who know that the government is doing wrong do come forward and leak info to the press to bring the spotlight of the public onto such actions.

However, it sounds like you would be more comfortable under a government that kept all information from the public.

As far as unethical politicians, the color of their suit doesn't matter to me, get them out of offfice.

There was a chief in a village in deepest Africa. He taked his people in order to feed his hobby, collecting royal chairs from all around the world. He kept them in his native hut. His people had finally had enough, revolted, burned down the chief's hut and killed him.

Moral of the story?

People in grass houses shouldn't stow thrones.

With your logic there would be no need for secret intelligence organizations and everything would be public information. Clearly that is a very naive position to have in the world we live in today. You also seem to think someone can judge 'right' from 'wrong'. I thought this was not characteristic of progressive thinking - that everything was not 'black and white' but somewhere in between?

There is no right or wrong, the motivation is simply to cause damage for political gain or perhaps for money. The last thing these people would do this is for the 'good of the country'. I do agree with you 100% on that last sentence however.

I'm far from being a tin foil hat wearing, conspiracy theory believing moonbat. I do pick up on the strange coincidence that when there's a big story damaging to the liberal agenda, it always seems to hit the wires late on a Friday afternoon when everyone has gone home. This happened a few weeks ago when the media had to send out some corrections after spending the whole week saying Bush lied in some Katrina videos.

So deliberate or coincidence - you decide.

Edit: Alcoa has been doing pretty good the past quarter -up over 15% against the S&P. Maybe I should invest in foil...

Another Friday story timed to fall in the forest without a sound.

Question is, how does publishing this on a Friday help the all-powerful international liberal conspiracy?

Cheney falls asleep during Hu visit.

Maybe because they just couldn't control their glee in order to hold it until Monday? Obviously they didn't waste any time getting this one out the same afternoon it happened.

Why didn't the media make any commotion last month when Justice Ginsberg fell asleep during a court argument? She was totally zoned out and it barely got any media attention.
