New Benelli Nova
I went to the store tonight intending to buy a Remington 870 express, and came home with a Benelli Nova 28 pump.
I like how it looks, but I can imagine some will find it ugly. I like the feel of the gun, comes up quick, and it shoots 3.5s. The wooden stock on the 870 is terrible. It looks like chinese balsa wood with stamped checkering. The finish work on the metal of the 870 was 'Romainian WASR AK-47' bad. I guess time will tell on the reliability factor. Not to often on uses the terms 'reliable' and 'Italian' in the same sentance. ![]()

I have 2 Benelli's. One Super Nova 12 ga pump and the other a Super Black Eagle 12 ga Semi-Auto. These guns are great. Dropped the Eagle in a swamp and it continued to work all day until I could get it back to camp to clean and oil. Now I leave the Brownings in the case at home to save their appearance. These guns are workhorses.

I have the same exact shotgun as you, bought it about 3 years ago when it first came out. It's a fantastic firearm and tough as all heck. I hunt ducks in the salt water marshes off Long Island and I have never had a malfunction of any sort. I will reccommend the recoil reducer for 3.5" shells that fits in the stock. It makes shooting much more enjoyable. Enjoy your new shotgun as it will provide you with years of trouble free shooting!
