Grayling Michigan Pelicans!!

I know that Grayling isn't exactly Porsche Country up there but I thought it was worth a try. Maybe this is a long-shot but here it goes...

I'm going to be there most of the week (May 7-11). If anyone wants to get together while I'm there to talk cars, I could help you out with a project a night or two, have a beer, get some dinner, go off-roading, whatever. Let me know.

You got that right Tim! It's gonna be quiet up there. I know this thread is a LONG SHOT! But you never know who's lurking around here. It would be better than hangin' out by myself for a week. Worth a shot.

No, didn't plan on it. But that's a good idea. It's a work trip so I won't have any free time till about 5. I'll look into tee times over there. Maybe I can get in nine some evening. That would cover one night. My parents just emailed me and they said they would come over from Traverse City to meet me for dinner. So now I've got two nights covered. I thought maybe I'd hang out in the pool and the hot tub one night.

Do you have a 4 wheeler or dirt bike? Lots of trails up there!
I used to snowmobile in Gaylord just north of there and we rode down near Grayling a couple of times.

Probably will need a mosquito net for your head whilst soaking in the hot tub!

I just sold the CT70s (honda Trail bikes) and the ATC 200 (3 wheeler). However, I do have a Yamaha enduro I could take. It's just a matter of getting it there. I don't have a trailer anymore either. I thought about picking up a ORV sticker and hit the trails with my Toyota. This is worth looking into also....

Just lay the Yamaha on top of your tail on the 930 and head on up!

NOW THAT'S A GREAT IDEA!!!! I NEVER would have thought of that. Oh, I just remembered that I gotta haul a ton of work stuff so the 930 will stay home this trip.

But since you brought up the 930. I'm proud to say that it won first place people's choice award at our local PCA chapters Spring Kickoff event. Wayne (Oh Ha Ha) and Mike Pillay made it over there too. Anyways, I NEVER win anything so it was a nice surprise for me.

Grayling!!!!! I can't believe I am even reading this.....

Spent some great times in grayling during the the summer when I was younger. Canoe trips, dirt bikes, lying on my back on a surf board in the middle of the lake at night watching artilery rounds explode in the distance at camp grayling....(rather stoned I might add....)

We used to go up for the first weekend of trout season. Fished for brookies in the headwaters of the Little Manistee.

Well, I guess this post answers my question to you in your email today.

Yeah, Bill won first place with his 930. I guess I should have voted for myself, huh? J/K
His 930 is gorgeous and it runs pretty good, too.
Can't help you with stuff to do in Grayling but you could honk as you go through Bay City.
You COULD stop by and pick up the car cover we discussed. (hint hint)

If Wayne's exhaust tip was not smashed from backing into stuff maybe he would have faired better in the judging!

Ouch, that hurt Tim.

Trust me, a new exhaust wouldn't have made a bit of difference. There were some seriously sweet cars there

Your no fun! I was hoping to get some going here!

Man, I had read that you just boogered your tip, please don't tell me you smoked your muffler too. Straight up, your setup is one of the best sounding exhaust systems I have heard yet!

Yea, he had a scrapped tip AND rubber chunks out of his tires. Geeez Wayne EVERY time you take that car out something happens to ya. I won't mention the other thing.
