I spent 2+ hours on Tuesday at a Mexican food processing plant here in the DFW area. On Monday, 75% of the work force did not show up - thats 262 people out of 350. I asked the manager I was working with (who was Anglo BTW) how many illeggals he thought they had. He just smiled and said "All of the 'employees are legal, but I can't say that for the temps we hire. According to the agency they are legal."

I then asked him how many temps they have..."about 75% of the folks here..."

Hmmm

Maybe others see it this way also....

I have been looking at it as a quiet invasion leading up to a war that we have already lost.

My wife is Irish (and I saw the anti-Irish thread) but we did everything the 100% legal way. It took us over two years and a couple thousand dollars.

You have no idea how absolutely pissed-the-F***-off we are about this whole issue.

So Lube , you need to call INS and let them know ..that according to the plant mgr. 75% of his crew is ILLEGAL.
Not that they care or would come and check.

Suppose we all stopped drinking Mexican beer and tequila?

:D

One of my co-workers is a Canadian scientist, she has been here about two years, holding down a job, paying taxes, paying rent, paying a imagination lawyer THOUSANDS of dollars... heck I have dropped a few hundred bucks buying her dinner (with tax)!

and these people want a free ride.

Rika - well, according to him, they are "legal" becauase the temp agency says they are. He did tell me that a few years ago INS did come in, but it was only to check records.

I will say, everytime I enter one of these plants and I tour the facility wih the plant engineer or plant manager I get a bunch of very very worried looks - I guess I look like a Federalle!

BTW - the last thing I would do to a very good customer is drop the dime on them. My company would suffer. Pretty selfish I know but the illegal issue is their problem.

As long as they keep buying our juice, I don't care if they have retrofitted french children snapping off fingers in the gears! (not really, I just want to sound tough...)

The issue no one seems to be talking about is that by legalizing say 15 million illegals, you are committing the US to absorbing 70-100 million people. This is because of immigration laws which allow a US citizen to bring their family members into the US as citizens as well.

So for every one illegal that you legalize, they can then legally bring in their family. Figure a spouse, couple kids, brother, mother, whatever.

It could get crowded in a hurry.

What are you talking about? It would be perfectly legal. The problem is we do not have the will.
[/B][/QUOTE]
"Will?" The honest truth is many private citizens who might have a "will" to change things also live in large cities, and quite frankly, don't care one way or the other about this issue. As long as their bathrooms are clean, beds are made, and the kids are safely taken to school by the nanny, they see no problem with things as they are.

Also, ironically, many of the cities where these marches occurred, are largely Democrat; at least the largest two cities, NY and LA are Democrat.

Now, you make illegal and deport some limousine liberal's nanny, causing the little spoiled mother to miss pilates because now she has to drive the kids to their private school, she'll be pissed enough to sue.

I guarantee you big Democrat money will fight tooth and nail against any action like multi-person forced deportation, legal or not.

One simple solution, although many courts have ruled against it, is to deny medical, welfare, etc. to anyone who can't demonstrate that they're in the country illegally. That would at least get them partially out of my wallet. The way the CA legislature voted on a referendum to support the May Day events, I see them raising state sales and income taxes in the next few years for a budget short fall. Gee, I wonder what the additional excess financial drain will be?

Nathans_Dad 05-04-2006 08:14 AM

Dude there is NO WAY that any court is going to say that you can deny medical care to someone in this country because they are illegal.

The courts have decided that medical care is a RIGHT, not a privilege. Big difference.

island911 05-04-2006 08:20 AM

How about some legislation to require English only (for businesses, such as banks, McD's, DMV . . .)

Nathans_Dad 05-04-2006 08:22 AM

That would require the establishment of a national language...which America does not currently have, believe it or not.

M.D. Holloway 05-04-2006 01:56 PM

the whole thing is a mess and will not be straightened out anytime soon. Ol Vinny Fox down in Mexico is playing too fast and loose. I think he reconsidered the rec drug idea after GW placed a call and told him "do that and all the $$$ that our illegals send back to Mexico will start drying up real fast." Makes a guy think.

My opinion exactly!

sammyg2 05-04-2006 08:52 PM

It is really simple: they want what you have. All of it.

Right now they are protesting against proposed laws that will increase the penalties for being in this county illegally but they are also organizing and are very quickly gaining political strength. If they get what they want this time, they will go after more. I guarranty that.

The woodstock boomers will be dead in a few years and a religious militaristic advocacy group will replace them. Great

The lib politicans will need someone to support them.

California passed a law about that, declared unconstitutional by the 9th Circus Court(how an illegal alien has constitutional rights is a bit beyond belief) Well, not the wall part. I still think we need to do a 4th of July protest against illegal immigtration

The below was passed around the NYC PD unofficially.

Not a funny joke

1. 40% of all workers in L.A. County (L.A. County has 10

illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles
are illegal aliens.

4. Over 2/3's of all births in Los Angeles County are to
illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal whose births were paid for by
taxpayers.

5. Nearly 25% of all inmates in California detention

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are
living in garages.

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles
are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are

9. 21 radio stations in L.A. are Spanish speaking.

10. In L.A.County 5.1 million people speak English. 3.9
million speak Spanish (10.2 million people in L.A.County).
