cannon fodder

I have a new proposal. All those who think Iran and or Iraq and all the related fanatics out there will not hurt us if we just leave them alone, please step up and volunteer to become cannon fodder if you are wrong. Put your butt where your mouth is. If nothing happens to us your are heroes. If we are attacked you are first to go, cannon fodder so to speak.

All you leftist freaks, put your butt where your mouth is.

I won't hold my breath for signups.

If we are wrong about Iran it will result in the death of many of the people you love, maybe yourself. Do you want to take this chance? If so please step up and put your butt on the line.

If not we should kill all the bastards first. Sounds wrong? Only if you are not the one being killed.

Sounds wrong? Inhumane? Well that’s a million years of human civilization for you. Care to counter? Put your butt on the line!!!!

Lets see.... a million years vs the last 30 years, or less. Yeh right, we are gong to do the right thing.. I will take bets, 1000000 to one that we will not take the correct choice.

Fu all those MOTHERS. Place your wager here. I will pay 1000000 to one if the world makes the peaceful choice.

And it ain't mothers day here anymore.

PS I am an OPTIMIST ! ! !

Exactly where does this leave us??? Kill them before they kill us. .... EXACTLY.

The notion that an attack by North Korea, Iran, or Iraq prior to 2003 could reduce American civilization to ashes is, to be blunt anc succinct, silly.

At the height of the Soviet Union's nuclear power and the cold war in the late 70's; the worse case scenario of an all out nuclear war would have reduced the American population by 40%; i.e. from 250,000,000 to 150,000,000, in other words to the population of America in 1950. That would have required the delivery of thousands of large thermonuclear weapons nearly simultaneiously, and would have caused tremendous disruptions in nearly every aspect of everyone's lives. However, American civilization would have survived, beyond question.

None of the countries you mention have the slightest capability in that regard, and won't have it within at least 100 years.

So, in the vernacular, get a grip.

So, if just a few thousand people are killed, and just one or two cities are turned into smoking craters, that is okay with you?

OK, who took Jack's meds? Come on, that's just not right! Fess up. Return his meds immediately and leave the poor guy alone.

It's one of the weirdest posts I've ever seen here.

I think it's meant to distract from the fact that the 5 or 6 people here who wholeheartedly support our being in Iraq haven't signed up to go there.

Your logic is bass-ackwards. A lot of people would volunteer if we were directly attacked by a sovereign nation. The problem with Iraq is the pre-emptive invasion based on "six degrees of separation I heard it from my brother-in-law's girlfriend's cousin" standard of evidence.

How about those of you who think we should be in Ira[q|n] skip on down to your local recruiter's office post haste and git yerself and yer kids signed up. Don't worry, recruiters are hungry right now, I'm sure they can figure out how to get around your asthma/flat feet/ADD/hangnails.

It's good to think that all who support the invasion and conquest of Iraq be on the bleeding edge of the conquering army, but in reality, if that happened, that would be no more moral than those who advocate the invasion from their lazy-boy between beer commercials on football night at home.

Wars of invasion and conquest are always immoral; even if this one were being waged at no cost to American's at all, it was be no less immoral than it is now.

The invasion and attempted conquest of Iraq is a monstrous running war crime, all those participating in it are war criminals, all those supporting it are petty criminals aiding and abetting the war crime.

No, I prefer to watch Bush'ists squirming in the sunlight as the rocks they're under are turned over.

Bush might be a very nice guy. Don't know, would like to think so.

A leader? Not convinced. Haven't received one rational answer when some posters have spoken of his "sheer genius" as a leader.

I would LIKE to give him the benefit of the doubt. I WANT him to succeed, but lately, well.......A Chinese Fire Drill comes to mind.

Way back in the early 70's, when I got out of the Air Force and returned to college, one of my roommates was a "deuce" pilot in the Montana Air National guard. I used to go up there often as his "guest" at the all ranks club they had and drink 40 cent Michelob's all evening while shooting pool with all of them. I can picture dubya in that environment easily.

Totally irrelevant to today, all my comments about him concern his present duties; his "fun years" are of no concern to me.

I'd take a ride back in a time machine Oscar deuce/Cesna 337 any day and play some pool with the prez. Watch a guy mowing trees in the movie Bat21.

His present day policys should be long term strategy for this country though, not stroking up the media or friends. The republicans will ditch him towards the end of his term when everyone realizes they're in trouble.
