plumbing.....what a ****ty job. I had a similar toilet issue when my house was built. Damned neighborhood kids had shoved a cat down the sewer access pipe that was stubbed up in my yard.
Anyway, your current situation sounds like a good reason to keep drinking. Whatever it is, it will probably still be messed up in the morning. You can worry about it then. Just don't pass out in front of a backed up toilet.

Shuie, ten years ago on my 50th birthday, some friends from Baton Rouge gave me a case of Bourbon labled "Baton Rouge Bourbon". Someone had bequeathed a local bar to the Catholic Church or school and the contents had been raffled off. Her raffle ticket got her the contents of the second floor, which was all the liquor on premise when the door was closed.

mmmm...the single barrel worked well at a pool party today. all i needed was a shot glass and a glass of ice water to keep from getting dehydrated..

Old Weller #7.....
I just opened my last Bottle of..."Collectors Edition" 21 year old sour mash Bourbon...distilled by Dowling Distillers in Lawerenceburg, Ky. 94.6 proof. Reg # 959.....Smooooth... I bought this bottle about 25 years ago at Fedco in So CA. They had a great liqour dept. btw I know Whiskeys don't age in the bottle... I still have 7 or 8 bottles of Remy XO, 4 bottles of 18 year McCallans, and a host of other stuff from Fedco as they were going outa biz...the Ontario, CA Fedco liquor dept manager did the ordering so the selection he had was outstanding. 18 year Buccannans, 18 year old Glenmorainge, Johnny Walker Blue Label, B&B, Rhum Barancourt...He11 I still have stuff left from when Fedmart went outa biz in 1982...Barcardi Rum 151 4 bottles, Chivas, Wild Turkey and a few others... Maybe its time to inventory....

In all seriousness, 21yrs is too long for a bourbon to sit in a barrel. This isn't like scotch. Older is not always better. Bourbon starts to have an overly strong oak flavor from the barrel after ~12 years, IMHO. Save some of that Weller's so you can taste it side by side with the Evan Williams Single Barrel Im going to send you and see which one has the better flavor. |

Tabby, Ryan, and Kurt V:
If you would like a bottle of the stuff that is the topic of this thread, please PM or email me a shipping address and I will send you each a bottle. No PO Box, please. It doesn't make the USPS or ATF happy when people send this stuff through the mail. Seriously, I recently cleaned out the bar in my house. Another Pelicanite already got my Maker's Mark collection, but I still have a few bottles of the really good stuff sitting here that I don't know what to do with. I know you guys could put it to good use
