C'mon, his skit was good.

"What part of lock-box don't you understand"?

"the anti hurricane and tornado machine I was instrumental in developing..."

For a politician, the guy is a riot.

Gotta admit, it was very funny. At least he can goof on himself. Sorry Matt, don't want to stereotype on you. I suppose that just because you found his skits funny and your from the bay area it doesn't necessarily mean, well, whatever.........

clicked the link, but got this:

http://www.crooksandliars.com/2006/05/18.html#a8340

I guess when you got no answers for all the problems you created, go to your base. It would seem gays are the new Jews for the Republican party. Vote Republican! Turn on the showers! Fire the ovens!

Cut and paste, Mr. Fintstone-styel:

May 18
(h/t Bill for the transcript)
Jack Cafferty: Wolf, Today's lesson in hypocrisy comes to us courtesy of the Senate Judiciary Committee. They met in a different private room behind closed doors today and approved a Constitutional Amendment banning gay marriage. at one point the thing got pretty ugly. A shouting match, between the Republican Chairman Senator Arlen Spector and Democratic Senator Russ Feingold, who said he was against the Amendment as well as Spector's decision to hold the vote in a private room out of the public's view.

These guys are shameless. Feingold eventually stormed out telling Spector "I've enjoyed your lecture Mr Chairman. See ya."

Senator Spector in a real show of courage, says that he is "totally opposed to the Amendment", but he voted for it anyway saying that it deserves a debate in the Senate. Majority Leader Bill Frist says the full Senate will now debate a Constitutional Amendment which has absolutely no chance of passing. Frist hopes to have a vote by June 5th.

This is all being done by the republican majority in an effort to appeal to Right-wing nuts in the Republican Party ahead of the upcoming mid-term elections. Ignore all of the pressing issues facing the country, and instead go grovel at the feet of the lunatic fringe. Senator Frist should be very proud of himself. That's leadership. Here's the question: Is now the time for the Senate to consider a constitutional Amendment on gay marriage?"

The Republicans show their cowardice once again by hiding in a private room. Good for Feingold. Frist and the word "leadership" in the same sentence is scary. Lunatic fringe sounds about right to me. This should be called the "James Dobson" amendment.

We don't hate your kind Hunter, we just value the traditional family and respect how it is the glue of our society.

I just grabbed the first good link I found. I find it funny that when I looked it up earlier today, I got it off a right wing site that used it to explain everything wrong with the left. Everyone sees what they want to, but you've got to admit it's funny.

Still looking for the definition of the "Traditional family" and "traditional values".

All I get is silence.

Gore?..."no controlling legal authority" was his response to questioning regarding his role in illegal fundraising from the Buddhist nuns (rich nuns obviously, nevermind the vow of poverty). This little event forever etches in stone the hypocrisy and dishonesty of the Democrats. They dog-pile on Tom Delay for indiscretions miniscule in comparison, but their boy Gore?...break out the pompoms and paint lips on the pig!!!

Then it would make sense to vote for the small government crook, no?...Less money=less crook...Alas, as far as the Democrat mind goes, the bigger the bull*****ter and crook the greater the hero he becomes.

Think about it, Money...Compare how the Republican party deals with their crooks and compare it to the Democrats....We quickly dispatch ours. The Democrats mount a party wide defense of their crooks. They then rely on the media to rehabilitate their image slowly -- Alger Hiss comes to mind, or Ted Kennedy, or Al Gore, or Bill Clinton, or Sandy Berger, or Marion Berry, or Cynthia McKinney, or...

The way to attaining this value is to live it. You can talk smack all day long about how others need to adhere to your "values", but when it comes down to it, it's all smack. If everyone worried a little less about what their neighbor is doing and worried a tad more about themselves and their own behavior, we wouldn't be talking about the horrors of these traditional values being extinct.

Call your mom today. Hug your child. Tell them you love them. Be proactive.

Why do you read so much into what I wrote? I said nothing about values, so get of the victim kick, no one is attacking you. I simply think the breakdown of the traditional family has caused many of our ills. I'm not sure how you can disagree with that.

Johnny has two mommies is, I am sure, a very empowering thing in the lesbian community but it is not as good for the child as a traditional mother/father family. A single mother raising her child alone may make her courageous and prove her strength of character but but it is not as good for the child as a traditional mother/father family. A kid brought up in a joint custody/broken home is a tough situation that you can make the best of, but it is not as good for the child as a traditional mother/father family.
Etc....Etc....

Yes I know some mother/father families are bad environments, so save me the examples as we are dealing with averages here, something you need to do when discussing welfare of a hundred million children.

There is no hatred nor ill will in my words, only rational deduction and a genuine concern for kids.
