Say what you will, but Pat usually gives as good as he gets. He gets a few things mixed up - but offers a point of view you did not get in civics class in school, in reading USA Today and watching CBS news. If I wanted the usual and boring two sided debate, I would turn this box off.

Honestly, I think if he kept his message to "We need less government," he'd make a lot of sense. Congress wants to ban social networking sites and thus limit my First Amendment. Yet they could care less about taking care of pork, the borders, getting rid of social experiments in public schools, trade deficits, doing what's right instead of what buys a vote, etc.
The anarcho-capitalist, Arab dress-up, and South-shall-rise stuff can go, though. He and about 5 other good ol' boys take that seriously. Last edited by yellowline; 05-19-2006 at 10:30 AM.. |

He's one of the more provocative thinkers on this board.
A lot of times, I find myself nodding my head reading his posts .... but then, right at the end, I come to a big screeching halt! Like where Bugs Bunny digs himself into the ground trying to stop himself! Screech!!! Then I go from nodding my head to shaking it ![]() Pat has no use whatsoever for any kind of authority, or for any of the rules governing human behavior that are necessary on a planet with this many people. This Civil War thing has gotten him all riled up, as best I can figure ![]()

I would agree, things always start out ok, then normally take a nutty twist. From there, into the abyss we go.........

this is a stupid thread, but in the spirit of social experiments, why do republicans define THEMselves by negatively defining oponents? Gutless at best.
Pat takes a stand, expresses an opinion and discusses it with facts (which tend to get in the way of others) and intelligence...caveat: agree though, he does go overboad at times. Why not just respect the man, do a little reading, learn something new, articulate it and then debate him rather than post weasely polls. My $.02. |

Pat draws untenable conclusions from the facts....
Pat also doesn't take oposing points of view into account. There is NO BALANCE in his train of thught nor is there any room for moderation of his point of view...he is always right and never wrong about his conclusions....
