Ah yes.....the angry IT person who really doesn't know what the f*ck she is talking about, but figures the louder she yells it, the more convinced others will be.

Now, exactly WHERE is she getting he information from? Can she show you a actual recorded speed test? Did she happen to notice the Microsoft Office for Mac boxes sitting right next to the new Intel Macs at the freaking Mac store?!?!?!

Almost all apps launch speed on a Mac is directly tied to the number of open fonts.

The more open fonts, the longer it takes.

Have not checked to see if the Intel boxes ship with more standard system fonts than the PPC's did.

Obviously not the sole reason but should be looked at as a contributing factor.
