We aren't going to do the Freedom Fries thing again, are we?

Mulhollanddose 05-24-2006 11:34 AM

John Kerry is french.

FrayAdjacent911 05-24-2006 11:37 AM

F*ck phrance.

Groesbeck Hurricane 05-24-2006 11:40 AM

the French actually hate for us to call them French Fries. If you really want to upset the French, just keep on calling them French Fries.

For what it is worth, this type of fried potatoe is considered to be Belgian in France.

The street in question is waiting for another long, hot summer of car burning and riots.

Pity the Frogs.

It has all been downhill since Waterloo or was that Trafalger? No, that line, the one named for the General...

legion 05-24-2006 11:45 AM

Disgusting.

I will never go to France. I have been boycotting their products since 2002. I refuse to buy French wine. Michellins are out of the question.

DaveE 05-24-2006 11:48 AM

I still plan to go to LeMans once before I die.

RoninLB 05-24-2006 11:53 AM

Some talking heads say France would be the first Euro state to be taken over by them.

Joeaksa 05-24-2006 11:53 AM

I keep trying to figure out a way to empty the potty on our airplane in flight so I can dump it over any place possible in France but so far have been unsuccessful. Its about all they deserve after naming a street after a cop killer and black panther.

I go there if a client wants to fly there but other than that (and the Formula One race in Monaco) refuse to enter the country for anything.

"In France, they see him as a towering figure," said Suzanne Ross, co-chair of the Free Mumia Coalition of New York City, who was part of an April 29 ceremony to dedicate the Rue Mumia Abu-Jamal in the city of St. Denis

Yep. I wholeheartedly agree. I'm a big fan of the Moscat D'Oro from Mondavi. And Wisconsin...I love Wisconsin. Will be drive through there from tail to tip next month on my way up to the UP.

widebody911 05-24-2006 12:29 PM

French-bashing aside, why is he such a 'towering figure' over there?

I'm guessing the reason is two-fold.

1) He killed an American authority figure.
2) Pandering to the muslim martyrs-to-be in their own population.

stevepaa 05-24-2006 12:33 PM

Keep up the French bashing. Don't travel there and tell others also not to go. I hate crowds.

Why not move there?

Right....no jobs.

I've only known two people who where actually born and raised in france. both of em stunk, inside and out.
I've never been there so I don't know if everyone over there is the same way so it's just an observation ;)

Here's a thought, the next time france needs us to bail them out after some other country kicks their butt in less than a week, we will remind them of this street and tell them they are on their own this time. We should have let germany keep them in 45.

Do you actually think it is possible that everyone in France is a stinker?

Isn't that about as misguided as the person in France who thinks that everyone in the US is a stinker based on meeting 2 Americans?

dd74 05-24-2006 07:01 PM

If anything should be boycotted, it should be NBC's poor news writing.

1) Why is this person in France?
2) Why is he being honored?
3) Did he flee to France?
4) Did the U.S. try to get France to extradite him back to the States? If not why?
