Glad to do it Ed.

Oh I forgot, I do like the Vaurnet sun glasses. Darn I'll give that to 'em to.

Thanks Flint. The world is my oyster and I like the idea of having less competition to what it can offer. Keeps things far more accessible and affordable besides providing one with an even greater sense of freedom.

I have not been there in years, but maybe fewer tourists in Paris will make them a bit nicer to those who go now. I pretty much stay away from bastions of anti-American sentiment like Paris, Tehran, and LA if I have a choice. I have had to spend far too much time involuntarily in places like those through my employment...so, I choose not to whenever possible. Good luck and enjoy.

I imagine the British, American, Australian, and Canadian troops that showed up had some small impact. Too bad they were only there to make a buck off the poor defenseless Europeans as part of the US world domination plot to make all the small whiney European countries US colonies.

the biggest impact on Germany during WW2 was Stalin
he scared Hitler enough to go offensive, stretch his resources and supply lines, and under invest in the invasion of Brittain
Stalin was an issue before Hitler even invaded Western Europe.

Very true. Honest scholars will see that the U.S. had little impact in chopping off the head of the beast - which was Adolph himself. More likely it was the Russian winter that did his forces in. But also, one should remember who was first landed in Berlin, forcing das Fuhrer to swallow his jagged little pill?

The Russians.

Maybe we should hire the Russians to find OBL since we can't do it ourselves, seeing, of course, how the Russians have such a good bad-guy apprehension track record.

Hitler did have a foothold in Europe...because he and the German army kicked the living crap out of the French...and the rest of Europe. The only reason that the entire ungrateful continent is not speaking German is because they were bailed out by the very ones whose motives they insult now.
The Soviet Union. Seventy-five percent of World War Two combat involving Germany was on the eastern front.
