Sunglasses - The Rest of the Story

AKA - Don Ro is one hell of a guy!

A couple of weeks ago I posted the thread about needing new sunglasses. Don just casually mentions he has a pair of unused Oakleys that I can have for basically the cost of shipping. I PM him. Here are the messages (most recent on top)

Don Ro wrote on 05-05-2006 02:50 PM:
Your FedEx Ground tracking #, Kurt.

Have a safe weekend.

Wow this is great! Just let me know what the total is with shipping.

Send them to my office:

Thanks again!

Sure Kurt,

I don't wear them, as I said.
I looked on their site to find the model and a pic of the style for you - no dice. Anyway, the lenses are those "cat eye" style, you know, sorta wrap-around and slim. The bows are spring-loaded. Build integrity is great...excellent condition, etc.

.
PM me your address, I'll send them out and won't wait for your check, 'will send them via FedEx ground and get a tracking # back to you.
.
Hope you enjoy them.
.
Best,

Don

You serious about selling the Oakleys? If so let me know where to send the check!

Don has built up some serious good Karma here!

Thanks again Don. Hope I didn't embarrass you too much making this public.

Okay I'll give it a try...

Sure Don came through with the sunglasses but only to draw attention away from the fact that he is a [insert political affiliation] and we all know they are responsible for [insert most recent unfortunate occurrence]!

I personally wintessed seeing Clinton out in the sun. We was out for a stroll with his daughter, who looked like she could use a lot of sun. All the secret service agents were wearing their sunglasses, too, just to get back on topic.

A glacier in Switzerland is storing a pair of mine...I'm praying for early global warming, to get them back.

If I had $100 for every pair of sunglasses I've lost, I'd buy new ones.

I always wear Maui Jim Typhoons. Best flyfishing glasses ever. I've lost pairs in Alaska, Montana and Hawaii. It's getting expensive.

Hey Don, you got a pair of Typhoons laying around?

Environmentalists are predicting a sun shortage in the near future. Politicians are calling for an occupation force on Venus, and Mercury if necessary, so that our continued supply of cheap solar energy is not compromised.

And this little guy wears sunglasses.

so kurt, dont we get to see a picture of you in these new "cheap sunglasses" ? one with them mounted on a menu in front of your grill would suffice.
