Ok this poll is for DEMs AND REPs........I'm intersted in seeing the results of Republicans and Independants if they HAD to choose one of these 3.

Friggin...POLL link does not work....

Here are your choices

H Clinton
J Kerry
A Gore

DaveE 05-28-2006 11:41 AM

Those are my choices? Could I just put a gun to my head?

ronin 05-28-2006 11:43 AM

Al Gore, all rhetoric and no action will at least not make matters too much worse

lendaddy 05-28-2006 11:44 AM

Kinky Freidman

FrayAdjacent911 05-28-2006 12:28 PM

I would say Zell Miller... if it were an option.

Or choice D, move to Canada.

I guess I would go with Gore.

YTNUKLR 05-28-2006 03:54 PM

why do we have candidates like this? Really. Why not someone that people actually like?

Jared at Pelican Parts 05-28-2006 03:58 PM

Gore, it's like choosing between hospital, airline food and Arby's though

red-beard 05-28-2006 04:46 PM

Lieberman

nostatic 05-28-2006 05:04 PM

450knotOffice 05-28-2006 05:48 PM

I'm thinkin' Lieberman. I doubt the Dems would even put Kerry or Gore back out there again. Hillary? No way in he11 would I ever vote for her. I'd take her hubby Bill any day of the week over her.

DaveE 05-28-2006 06:00 PM

Lieberman or vote Republican? Same thing to me.

Ed Bighi 05-28-2006 06:19 PM

If one of those has the ability to be a social liberal and a fiscal conservative, he or she has my vote. But then again, that is like trying to find a pro-choice republican who can see that expensive nation building projects can jeopardize tax cuts. Impossible nowadays. Though I have heard that Hillary could be a fiscal conservative wearing a democrat hat. What I would not give for a secular laissez-faire capitalist running this place. I wonder if they still make those outside of places like Liechtenstein.

jyl 05-28-2006 06:51 PM

So far only one person responding has actually answered the question posed.

I'm not thrilled with the choices given, but within those choices, Kerry.

Mulhollanddose 05-28-2006 06:57 PM

Donald Rumsfeld

aap1966 05-28-2006 07:15 PM

There was ONE democrat that turned out to be a great president.

Reagan.

;)

WOODPIE 05-28-2006 07:18 PM

Oprah could win.

Ed Bighi 05-28-2006 07:19 PM

When the democrats inherit this government and raise the capital gains taxes back up, not to mention the others as well, I'll remember who was one of the creators of this expensive little project of ours in Iraq. For some reason Rumsfeld is the first name that comes to my mind. That sob is going to cost me my tax cuts. God damn money waster. A conservative could approve of someone like him. Especially a Johny-come-lately neo-con. But not a free-thinking capitalist. With people like him you don't even need democrats to suck our wallets dry. Sometimes I wonder how much more tax cutting we could have gotten away with if it weren't for that ******* war.

I agree. What I prefer is a federal coucil of seven members of different parties of which one is chosen every year to be the leader for purely representative functions. He or she would hold no more power than the others. Or the citizens who have the power of referendum to correct them. Fastpat, maybe you and I might share some views on direct democracy and citizen referendums.

He is a socialist (bad for America) and he is black (bad for rising within the Democrat party).

Yes, in 1861.

This is 2006, we know we don't need one now. It's called the march of knowledge.

Simple straight vote democracy?

Ed Bighi 05-29-2006 03:05 PM

Yes. A helvetic sort of democracy would do fine.

Yes, that could work but only if it required a super majority (75-90%) and granted the government no coercive powers of any kind.

Scott, Isn't voting for the lesser of evils still voting for evil?

Hmmm, stupid over evil, that's quite a concept.

Hey, aren't you the guy that thinks Giuliani is an honorable man?

svonkampen 05-29-2006 05:13 PM

Southern Seperatist......

Great Idea, we'll leave you guys alone............10 years from now you'll be 3d world.

svonkampen 05-29-2006 05:16 PM

Southern Separatist......(that is just disgusting.......)

Yeah..I like Giulianni. I do not believe I used the word honorable. But I do believe that If you can successfully run NYC, which he did, you would probably be a pretty good US Prez.

Fine, we'll take that risk.

Oh, did I tell you that North Carolina bought California a few years ago? Yep, North Carolina National Bank bought Bank of America. Own em, outright.

Jim Richards 05-29-2006 05:39 PM
