Trailer Tire Question
I picked up a Zieman car trailer, it is a open bed style one (no center section so lighter weight) and I am going to replace all the tires on it. It has alumimum rims, and 225/65/15 tires on it. They look like radial car or truck tires, the only other marking is the rating "H" on them.
On my old trailer, I always put trailer tires, but this size does not seem to be available in a trailer tire. So I have the quesiton... Can you put car/truck tires on a trailer? Jim

Do not put passenger tires on a trailer because of the load rating. Tire Rack has some good info. Look for Goodyear Marathon. When in doubt increase the load rating.

except the Goodyear Marathon does not come in the right size. Plus load rating is not much of an issue, it will be carrying the trailer and a 2200 lb car, on a double axel trailer, so the loading is minimal I would think.

Yes, as long as you understand they are not rated for higher loads and heat levels.
