• A perfect utopia until Bush Jr. came into office.
• It's not like there's been any unrest there in the last decade or more.
• Guess that big Semalian revolution decades back was all orchestrated by Bush Jr.
• Nothing scandalous ever happened there before. Nothing, for example, like the inept deployment of troops that lead to an infamous story involving a Blackhawk Down.
• Say wasn't Clinton president when that Blackhawk fiasco happened?
• Long-term turmoil in Somalia would be no more likely than having the South ever succeed.

The US government meddled once too often in a place where they didn't want meddling. The Somali's finally did something about the terrorist US government, and it's been smarting ever since, for revenge if nothing else. Nanny Government doesn't like it when the people shove one up her arse.
