You prefer ******s?

stevepaa 06-07-2006 08:32 PM

You keep that pic by your bedside, mark?

reminds me of 6th grade, how about you.

Mark Wilson 06-07-2006 08:36 PM

Maybe "fudgepacker" is more appropriate.

RANDY P 06-07-2006 08:55 PM

the PC would call it "practitioners of an alternative lifestyle"

fudgepacker is shorthand..

umm....Mark....mellow out a bit, m'kay?

Moneyguy1 06-07-2006 10:41 PM

I see that the conservative posters are, as usual, taking the high road.

Good for you, Mark...keep up the good work. I am truly impressed with how cleverly and swiftly you turned this into name calling and character assassination. That truly takes talent. Just what line of professional work are (were) you in?

Now I understand why I am an independent.

What Ann says is simply a way to make money and sell books. The makes her, by definition, a media whore. I am surprised that anyone from any part of the political spectrum would take anything she says seriously. Even better: What makes her remarks and opinions any more valid than any other "celerity"? This argument is always used to dismiss political tatements made by opponents of right that do not "fit the profile".

fint: You surprise even me, jumping to the conclusion that people who lose a loved one find joy in the event. That is pretty low thinking. I prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt, since I am not privvy to their innermost thoughts and feelings. But, since they appear to lean left, they must be liberals, and as we all know everything liberal is evil. A truly black and white belief system must be comforting but lacks the subtle nuances of the various shades inbeween.

It's unfortunate because you appear to be intelligent, just myopic.

Ah, nuts.....At least you guys are entertaining if not rational!!

One needs only observe. If they were that good at acting...they would be in Hollywood winning awards. They are just one more group...looking for attention that they would never receive in their own right....trying to capitalize on other's misfortune.

Lotsa' stuff missing here. For example:

1) Where was it that Coulter said this?

2) I highly doubt that there aren't wives trying to cash themselves in on their husbands' deaths.

3) Coulter is half-cocked (no pun intended), and half-baked by her own...lumination (?) But like any good writer (in a marketing sense), she has all of us hooked on how brilliant or ill-founded her messages are.

The real question is, if stranded on an island and she and your pride are all you have...would you? ;)

fintstone 06-07-2006 10:50 PM

It is, of course...from her new bestseller: "Godless: The Church of Liberalism." Every liberal should buy one so they can misquote her properly.

Moneyguy1 06-07-2006 10:52 PM

Even I have some level of behavior!!!!!

Heehee!!

fint..Isn't that also what Ann is doing? Capitalizing on the misfortune of others?

dd. She was being interviewed on one of the cable news programs.

dd74 06-07-2006 10:55 PM

How is “I’ve never seen people enjoying their husbands’ deaths so much..." a missquote? Did she not say that? Or do you mean her quote was taken out of context?

I believe that Ann is a good and patriotic citizen who is only defending her country against those who would destroy it. I believe that she would point out the absurdity of these folks for free....I know I would/do. It infuriates her detractors even more that she get compensation from doing so.

It is not a misquote. It makes more sense in context....but it is what she wrote....and she seems to be correct IMHO as we previously posted similar here during the 9/11 commission hearings when these ignorant women made a spectacle of themselves.

Coulter is no better than Michael Moore. In fact, she's the Right's answer to Michael Moore. Both writers proceed and profess off poor research, sensationalism and vitriol. But both also are very intelligent in knowing their niche.

The buying public at Costco, Walmart, B. Dalton, etc., are the real misinformed and foolish ones as they snap this b.s. up and furthermore believe what it claims.

It's good fiction. Just like the bible.

Apples and fat-asses, dd74...Moral equivalence is intellectually sluggish.

Michael Moore is a proven liar, Coulter is not.

I enjoy rational debate and even honest differences of opinion. THey are good for the country. I do not enjoy opportunistic bomb throwers of any stripe and consider same as destructive and contributing nothing to the well being of the society in which they live.

Hold on! What makes them ignorant? Cashing in is one thing; "ignorant" is a whole 'nother situation.

These women to whom Coulter refers have been willingly whored by the anti-American socialist left. They have been packaged for mass media consumption; the media lap it up, vomit it through their medium and then expect the public to eat their vomit. These women spew talking points right out of the neo-communist playbooks of how to undermine a President and sabotage a just war.

I look at it this way. You need both a left and a right leg in order to walk properly. It is the same with the political spectrum. Unfortunately, we have a whole bunch of cripples with either a right or a left leg but not both. Hence the inability of our "leaders" to accomplish anything of value. I wish it were otherwise, but the microcosm of this little BB shows the problem quite clearly. There are quite a number of posters here that need a crutch in order to move at all.
