Rusty patio set

I have a steel mesh patio table and chair set. It is getting kind of ratty looking with surface rust here and there. My wife is sentimental about it since it was gift from her parents. It is painted white and she wants to keep it that color.

I have a rudimentary sandblasting setup. I can blast it to roughen up the paint and knock off some of the rust. Any suggestions for which paint to use or other preparation tips. I'm willing to put in the time to get a nice finish, but I don't want to do it again real soon.

Thumbs up

Find a powder coater and have them do it, after that, no worries

any rusto-leum paint will work, I have two set of the same type and I painted mine 5 yrs ago and it's now time to do again. I just used a steel wire brush and on flat surfaces a sander.

Wire brush (cup shape) in an angle grinder.

no doubt powder-coating would be 'preferred'..just depends upon how much dough you wanna spend. i'm cheap..outside furniture? rustoleoum works fine..so you may have to repeat in a 5 years. no sweat.
