Armaflex, so yes. My brother is an insulator, so it became a work-related beer-drinking incident.
The hole I cut in the fridge is the same diameter as the OD of the armaflex. First glass cool, next one cold. Nobody has just one beer...(According to my wife, I never have "just a couple")

Sounds good - I'd like to do a remote install also someday. I'll have to ponder that as I'm having "just a couple" in about an hour...

This is the kitchen work island slated to become my wet bar soon.

I think that the doors on the left side in this photo can be removed, the cabinet cut, and a kegerator installed with the tap(s) routed through the granite top.

There's a cook top in there now, but that's coming out to be replaced by a sink. That would enable me to plumb a real drain line from the drainage tray right into the sink drain.

My homemade keg-fridge conversion. Worked great. I sold it though. I don't drink enough beer at home and it takes up a surprisingly large amount of room in a small apartment. Parts ran about $500 for the fridge and conversion kit.

The only improvement I can see it needs is a nice AN bulkhead fitting instead of the red ATV sealant. Maybe stainless braid CO2 line jacket, and a couple of other car parts added in for interest.

Mark - thanks for the compliments. It's a kenmore reefer...no complaints so far, I've had it about 4 yrs I guess. Next to the garage, this is my favorite room in the house!

Paul,
Well...I guess my favorite room in YOUR house would be the garage where you keep the Speedster !! ..but the bar would surely be second ;-)

According to http://www.micromatic.com

If dispensing with CO2, and maintained at the proper temperature and pressure:

"Non-pasteurized draft beer will remain fresh for about 45-60 days.
Pasteurized draft beer will remain fresh for about 90-120 days. "

lots of good info on that site...
