Metallica Fans.,.,whooo new song

We all know most MetallicA fans hated St Anger, and thought is was crap. They played a show on 6/6/06 in Berlin. They played a NEW song, from their new album due out next year.

AMAZING. Solo, double bass, LIVE. WOW,

Have a listen.

That song sucks, seriously

I remember when it was a badge of honor to wear a Metallica T-shirt.

They let us all down so much

Werd. Though I'd say they lost it before the Black Album...but that's just me.

The decline started about the time of One.

Man I still remember when the kid in 4th period English unveiled the Kill'em All vinyl...that was jr high. It was not too uncommon to see them checking out bands at the Stone in SF back in the day.

Ya, once Cliff died, IMO, so did the music.

BUT, with Robert in the band now, I think on the musical side, he has made them step it up.

I dig it. Thanks!

I just hope they don't listen to the "they were better before" or "they were better after" boneheads. I hope they just do what THEY want to do and I bet it'll be good.

the middle eight that hammett solos over is the only interesting part for me.

modern metal's obsession with lapsing into meandering half-time nonsense ruins it for me.

THRASH for the whole song or don't bother.

I agree. I went to a "justice for all" concert. I never went to another. They were already showing signs of having lost whatever it was they had.

"Load" was the last album of theirs that I bought... and I regretted that purchase.

The newer stuff is still good. If you look back people were saying the sold out on RTL with FTB. I think the new bassist is a poor fit. He doesn't have the right style, look or metallness(?) - looks like a big ape out there flailing around.

I saw them for the first time in 2004. Whie the show was great, I was surpised how much James talks to the crowd. It was like a wrestling match. "Deeeeee Ceeeee and you with us?????!!!!!???"

He probably more metal then the others in the band. Granted, his work with Suicidal and Infectious Grooves is different then the Met style, he IS an alround great bass player.

Thats the one thing Ive always liked about them. They have done whatewver THEY wanted to do, no matter what the fans said. Proof is in all the whinning everybody does because of the change they did from Black on.

They (Metallica) were never one of my faves, but I never listened to another Metallica song after their stance on copy right protection and music file sharing...not trying to open a can of worms.

Even more so since they built their initial fan base through tape sharing, big time
