big deal

there's a new most wanted scumbag in iraq
y'all just don't know who he is ... for every goon that get's killed
10 more suddenly think they've seen the light and commit to Jihad.

it's like announcing that you've gotten the biggest Piranha and killed it,while your standing waist deep in the river, and you suddenly see bubbles all around you

Officials: Al-Qaida in Iraq's al-Zarqawi killed
NBC learns most wanted man in Iraq killed by Special Ops Forces
NBC News and news services

Updated: 12:36 a.m. PT June 8, 2006
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Al-Qaida in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed overnight in an operation by U.S. Special Operations Forces, U.S. military officials told NBC News on Thursday.

ABC News reported that he was killed in a U.S. air attack on a house in Baghdad.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki was expected to make an important announcement at a news conference in Baghdad on Thursday, one of his advisers said.

Al-Maliki adviser Adnan al-Kazimi told The Associated Press that he had heard a report that Jordanian terrorism mastermind al-Zarqawi may have been killed late Wednesday in Baghdad.

Al-Kazimi said he could not confirm the report. He said al-Maliki was scheduled to shortly give a news conference along with the top U.S. general in Iraq, Gen. George Casey.

Editor's note: This is a breaking news story. Please check back for more details.

NBC News' Jim Miklashevski and The Associated Press contributed to this report.

But but but, I thought the insurgency was all "Iraqi freedom fighters"?...Patsy said so...So indeed we are fighting terrorism in Iraq, just like Bush has been saying all along...I am sure the media will take note and stop stabbing Bush and the military in the back...pffff, yeah right, like that is going to happen.

I forsee another 8 years of Republicans in the Oval Office and in the House (not too sure about the Senate)...2 years is a long way off and Democrats can't help but shove their feet deep in their mouths.

not even if Bin Laden would be blown up on prime time TV, not even then would it be bad for the morale of Al Qaeda... on the contrary , that would really make him the Martyr leader the Islamic fanatics have always been praying for since Arafat and Kadaffi turned out to be too mellow to be truly called "fanatic".

blowing up Bin would be just as awesome to them, as nailing Jezus to the cross turned out to be for the Christians... there is no bad PR when you believe in virgins in heaven...

His script to the NYT will now be deemed undeliverable.

His buds will be watching Bay Watch in mourning.

Who's script? Why would NYT get a script from whomever you're referring to?

Good. One less piece of **** in the world. At least if it's true. Supposedly an Al Qaeda web site is confirming it, but that's assuming it really isn't secretly run by the CIA or whatever. . .

Now maybe they can get back to focusing on Bin Laden who we want "dead or alive" but also don't concern ourselves with.

It won't stop the rebellion in Iraq though.

Rest in Hell.

Who contrived this whole "if you kill them, it'll make them a martyr, which makes them stronger..." crap? Bullshyt. That's happened when, exactly? Sour grapes wrapped in what's supposed to pass for insight.

Hope he is enjoying all the gold and virgins in the cesspool he and his buddies now reside. They got Abdul Rahman with him so he can hold hands with another guy in his venture into hell.

Who's next? There are a lot more over there who deserve it...

Glad to see you terrorist supporters are still able to put a positive spin on this. I would have been shocked and disappointed in how you support your cause otherwise. I image the Democratic party and other anti-American interests will do the same. Maybe that will help clarify exactly where such folks stand for the average joe sixpack before the next elections.
