				Scotland: Pictures

			Hi folks,

Thanks for all the advice for the trip! As promised, I'm sharing some of the pictures. I haven't developed the slides yet; if there's interest I'll scan some of those in too. First, the route: We had a Citreon xSara; a giant car by local standards. It handled poorly, but had remarkable mileage. The onboard system was reporting an average of 54mpg for the entire trip - and hardly any of that was on a regular highway. Isle of Skye: Any direction you look, it's pretty damn picturesque: Shaggy Cows: The Hike Up: Where we camped: (Scotland has these amazing Open Access laws) Note how nice the weather was... here's the snowstorm from the following morning. Some of the strongest winds I've ever seen. While taking down the tent it BROKE a tent-pole (ripped right through the fabric too) and bent the other two tentpoles. I'm writing a letter to North Face. And, of course, an obligatory picture of the first golf-course ever, and a Kilt store next to a bagpipe store. ![]() Thanks all, Babak |

My mother lived in Edinborough in her 20´s. If she had not met my father on a weekend trip back to Sweden, I would possibly be wearing a kilt right now..

Very cool, I spent a week in Aberdeen for work once. I've been dying to go back since then. It's a beautiful place.

I lived in Glasgow for a while. I would have stayed there if I could have gotten a work visa. One of the friendliest places I've ever been to.
