Many thanks for all of your thoughtful replys.
I'm glad I can type because I find it hard to speak. Unusual for me. |
I, too, send my condolences. I had to put my previous feline down because of cancer that was in her chest cavity. She was 11 years old, and was an 'indoor/outdoor' cat. I can remember that fateful day as if it were yesterday. I'm not normally a guy that shows his feelings, but I couldn't work the day we put her to sleep. In fact, my Mom and my Sister took her, as I really couldn't do it.
My wife (then girlfriend) bought me a Siamese, which I named Sebastian, for my birthday that same year. He's very much a part of our family, and he will turn 15 in October. Try to be happy in that she is not in any more pain now. IMO, the pain will deminish, but will never truly go away. Mike |
Our condolences on your loss. Putting them down is the hardest thing to do, when they've become a part of your life, but you have to do the humane thing. We feel your sorrow, we've been there.
When you're ready, go to the shelter, adopt a kitten, and make it's life as wonderful as you're lost friend's was. The hollow feeling shall pass. Godspeed to your furry friend. |
