Oh Martha...what happened?

Well, I know what happened, Martha got old like the rest of us. Oh sure, feel free to laugh at me. But I have always had a secret crush on Martha Quinn - that cute, perky MTV VJay from way back when...sigh...but I just googled her and found some recent pics...and my fresh faced and irrepressible Martha has become an old lady...actually, in the first pic, she looks like some biker's "old lady" (actually it is her husband, guitarist Jordon Tarlow)...

Oh yeah, I know...I should be so lucky to look as good as Martha does these days. I've aged a lot worse...sigh...but I do so hate to be reminded of it...

Dunno man. Given her age, I think she looks fine. She was never exactly a super model.

Yes....back when Music TeleVision played MUSIC. As opposed to a rotation of juvenile reality shows.

MQ does look a bit worn.

Yeah...what happened to Kennedy? I saw her once flipping throught the channels...she was on the Game Show network. That doesn't bode well.

That' sort of my point. Seeing Martha get old reminds me too much that I've done the same. It is particularly obvious in Martha's case because she was partly famous for looking like a perpetual teenager. So it just hits home a lot harder. And yeah, she is aging way better than me. But again, I hate to be reminded of it.

Neither have the donuts...

Never thought MQ was cute myself. She seemed more like a Tori Spelling kind of "I'm here for some reason other than looks or talent". Not that V-J'ing required copious amounts of the latter.

I remember when MTV played rock... OK, it was the "commercial rock-pop", but at least it wasn't all rap "crap" like it is now... Oh, the good old days... I must be getting old!

Heck, does anyone remember the very first video played on MTV?

If you do, you're looking at the horizon of Viagra and perpetual slow-lane driving.
