WMD mystery for the tinfoil hat crowd

There may be only a handful left on Pelican who still believes WMDs were real and a legitimate reason to start the Iraq war. (Ignoring Iraq's inability to deliver them effectively at any significatnt distance.)

But since all reason and evidence to support their belief is gone, its probably time for them to turn to the tinfoil hat theories.

To help out, I pass this along:

http://www.davegaubatz.com/

For those who cannot click, this is a guy who claims several likely WMD dumps were identified 3 years ago but never investigated due to 'official interference.'

Yeah, wacky and paranoid. But the tinfoil hat folks aren't picky.

Really hope that your Doctor changes your meds. The ones you are on now are as usual distorting your idea of reality.

How about looking forward and not always behind. Oh yea, forgot, only the liberals can look back and we conservatives are not allowed to bring up Clinton but you can look back as far as needed to try to shore up your feeble arguments.

CNN did a big special late last night on WMD's and the intelligence failures. George Tenant did not come out looking good.

A lying hit piece out of CNN?....You don't say?

Lets not forget that the whole world, including the loud mouths at the top of the Democrat party, all agreed Saddam had them...He had us all fooled, or simply moved them out of the country before we entered (as we telegraphed our invasion way way way ahead of time)...There is still a credible school of thought that the WMD were moved into Syria.

There is no doubt Saddam sought to evolve his WMD program.

There is no doubt Saddam had connections to al qaeda.

There is no doubt Saddam was genocidal ('genocide' warranted our invasion of Serbia).

There is no doubt Saddam violated 17 UN resolutions.

There is no doubt the overthrow of Saddam was justified both legally and morally.

But tech...

The Bible Code says they were moved to Syria. Can't get any more authoritative than that.

SoCal:

Excerpts of interview with Colin Powell:

Q: Many people wonder, once you knew the intelligence was wrong and we were already there, Why did you stay? Where do you draw the line between being a good soldier, loyal to your superiore, and true to your own beliefs and values?

A: Why would I have quit? Because we had bad intelligence? If I had been lied to, that would be different.

Q: For reasons like Vice President Cheney doing end runs around you.

A: He did his end runs, I did mine. He's the Vice President. It's all bureaucratic warfare.

(later in interview

Q: During the first Iraq war you gave some advice and then Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney said "You can't say that. your not secretary of state."

A: YEah, but I did and kept doing it.

Q: My point is that later, when you were secretary of state, he reportedly ignored your advice and did end runs.

A: That's his privelege as Vice President. He was tough, demanding, and when he thought I was out of line, he snapped my garters.

It continues with who was listened to, who wielded the most influence and gives a picture of unrest among the "troops" reporting to the oval office, and whether lessons from Vietnam and Panama were learned.

Altogether very revealing, about a loyal member of the cabinet, given erronious information (which he affirms was erronious), and how that single speech at the United Nations has sullied his legacy. POwell is gone because he admitted to errors in judgement that the rest of the gang is reluctant to admit to.

As for Tenet, no clear idea.

Wow, Bob, your Bible code trumps everything.

I daresay all of our answers must be in there. it's just so frustrating that the answers all seem to come after the fact.

I've read somewhere that the Moby Dick code is pretty good, too.

The Kurds would disagree with the no WMD theory.

Eventually the biological and chemical weapons will show up - preferably right before the November elections.

Also, I like the way we destabilized the region. That fat prick Saddam had been around too long. Killing his opposition year after year. He was almost as bad as Castro.

All those state department lifers who preach that stability nonsense should be run off.

Iran is next. How long do you think Ahmadinejad is going to last, or boy Assad in Syria or Hamas. The only way to change the Middle East is to destabilize a couple of those countries and get some democracy and capitalism in there.

Maybe Walmart could open a superstore in Haditha. Let's see, a Target store in Najaf a Home Depot in Karbala and a Starbucks on every corner.
