Taggart: Mr. Lamarr, you use your tongue prettier than a twenty dollar whore.

Paved the way? I think there were several films before "BS", Woody Allen products included that paved the way. As is, Airplane came out just six years later.

Lamarr quote is exactly why it's not as funny: I can hear Korman now reciting those lines - droning on, and then Pickens saying his quick comeback about the whore...ZZZZ.

Come on, is that nearly as funny as an air traffic controller announcing: "Looks like I picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue?" then sniffing the glue? Deeply?

I think not!

Both great, but I've got to go with BS. And then there's 'Young Frank'. Pick up some other gags every time I watch them..

"Where the white women at?"

slodave 06-19-2006 05:04 PM

Lili: Would you care for another schnitzengruben?
Bart: No, thank you. Fifteen is my limit on schnitzengruben.
Lili: Well then, uh, how about a little, uh ... (she whispers in his ear)
Bart: Baby please. I am not from Havana. Excuse me honey. Besides, I'm late for work. I've got some heavy chores to do.
Lili: Will I, will I see you later?
Bart; Well, it all depends on how much Vitamin E I can get my hands on.

Doesn't anyone have a funny line from "Blazing Saddles?" :p

Joeaksa 06-19-2006 05:27 PM

They both are excellent, as is Young Frankenstein. Then we have the Adams Family and so on...

Was sitting overseas much of last month. Downloaded BS off of the net and all of us sat around watching it. The "beans by the fire" scene was replayed several times but by then we had probably consumed enough beer to enjoy most anything!

Thank God for humour... it keeps us sane!

WOODPIE 06-19-2006 06:03 PM

Maybe not the exact words

"The William J. LePetomane Thruway? What will that azzhole think of next?" Then turning, "Anybody got some dimes? Somebody's gotta go back and get a sheitload of dimes!"

"Always coming and going, and going and coming, and always too soon."

Don't forget 'Smokey and the Bandit'!

'When I get home I'm gonna punch your momma right in the mouth!"

Moneyguy1 06-19-2006 06:27 PM

Might I add:

"It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World"?

Totally insane with lots of sight jokes as well as great one liners and musical score.
