My next few weekends will be busy!

44mm TiAL external wastegate
Custom made intake manifold + 70mm Mustang Throttle Body Custom Made Exhaust manifold (ceramic coated)

Hard to ignore the Esprit.

Holy heat soak batman!! Is that the stock location for the turbo on that car?

I would definatly look into a heat blanket for the turbo. The possibly make a shield of some sort to shield the intake from all that radiating heat. I am sure you know that turbo will be glowing red.

I like the concept of a 400 HP RWD car that is somewhat lightweight. Dont ask me why.

Have you seen the old video of the guy that put the supercharged LT1 engine in a 240Z Damn, sounds good and goes like stink. I think the word is that it had about 600hp.

Not all that different from the Reeves Callaway layout for his turbo 944s and 928s. . . Yes, the turbos get hot but the spool time is very fast and you're ultimately getting more energy (thermal and kinetic) into the turbo.

Looks to be a nice project!

Out of curiousity, why did you opt for the 44mm w/g versus the 38mm?

Is that the KEP-II clutch setup? That's likely the one I'm going to go with on my 400 RWHP 951.

I have an aluminum heat shield already made to address the heat soak guys.

The turbo is close to the stock location and these cars have soak issues mostly sitting in traffic with triple webers and the hot header right below boiling the gas, the EFI cars have much less of this issue.

I actually might run the 38mm TiAL...I have to call Road Race Engineering and discuss with them.

The clutch is an ACT unit.

The Espirit will hopefullt joining the fleet some time...still thinking about it...trust me it needs ALOT of TLC!!

Masraun - you are referring to Darius's 240Z, yes its a monster, the engine blew up and he is rebuilding the car to be even more killer....
here is a sneak:

All custom fabrication....the hours going into this car are im-measurable.

The HREs alone are worth well over $5G
