working the Monterey historics
Looks like I might be asked to work at the monterey Historics this year in the booth of a major automobile manufacturer.
I'm like a little kid on christmas eve, I can't wait. Just to see the cars, hear the cars, and meet the people will be worth all the work they can throw at me. I can't say much more now, I don't want to jinx it but if it's half as good as I think it will be it will be a once in a lifetime event. ![]() ![]() |

It's a great event. I used to go in the 70s when it was just racing. Now, it's a big carnival. you'll be lucky if you don't spend all the money you're paid on goodies...

Room, board, a polo shirt and a couple of autographs from people who raced Porsches in the good old days is all I ask for. Heck I should be paying them for the privilege of attending

Wayne, please stop by the tent where the major manufacturer's cars are and say hello, it's the tent for the Japanese car manufacturer that runs an F1 car and does not rhyme with fonda.
