Barn Find Picture Thread
A Barn find is a valuable item recovered from an undeserving storage, usually in the countryside, where it lay more or less forgotten.

The Phil Spector Daytona Coupe is the ultimate barn find, or abandoned garage anyway
|
What's the story on that?
|
That blue car at the bottom is the Cobra Daytona Coupe that Carrol Shelby and his gang put together to kick Ferrari's butt at Le Mans back in the 1960's. Purchased by Phil Spector many years ago, and he signed it over to some underling. It eventually ended up in a storage shed in Beverly Hills somewhere. There is a dispute as to ownership, and the car is reputedly worth multiple millions of bucks.

Even in its deserted state - its gorgeous!

Is that the one there were rumors about for years, some widow's garage or something?

No pictures, but I've personally seen in a garage/barn/whatever:
- A 914 1.8 just sitting there for years - A TR250 in a garage "waiting to be restored" - A Dodge concept car sadly neglected I may be able to get shots of the 914 and TR250 this week... -Z. |
New Years Day several years ago I was driving through an industrial area looking for a place to park so I could go in a pawn shop (I was at my inlaws, the ladies were all out shopping and I was bored). There, I saw a black Cadillac ragtop with the HUGE tail fins. You know that one year when they were two feet tall or so. It was outside, the top was off and it was filled with snow. I don't care for huge cars, but there are some folks who believe that was the most beautiful car ever made.
