that was funny. What did the teacher think? [/B][/QUOTE] Well, we haven't had any calls from Child Welfare Services yet, so I assume that's a good sign. The teacher did note in his end of year report card that she "enjoyed his unusual sense of humour". I can't wait until he's a teenager.

I am stuck on the fish...
I never thought of a school of fish working on a level of consciousness. I always thought they were more instinctive. They do but do not know why. Their ability to school was more instinctive rather than concious. Their sharp reflexes and senses afforded them the ability to react to the fish next to them beyond their concious level. Sort of like a hot lap on the track. When you go back and review in car footage you might see a oversteer situation that you do not remember but your reaction to it was perfect like it was just part of the drive. Did that make sense..... Maybe another Vodka/Grapefruit and then I will really be able to wrap myself around this.....

I've had a couple "moments" like that with my son--all 15 months-old of him. Mommy had a girls' weekend in NYC, so it was just the little guy (mebbe 13 months at that time?) and me. It was a rare beautiful spring day here in New England, so we went downtown to Boston. He spotted some skateboarders along the waterfront, and watched them. Then, he said "whee" as they skated by him! Normally, that's something he reserves for when he's on a swing. But for the first time, I saw how he was able to put himself in someone else's shoes.
It's neat to watch your child grow up. It's a lot of firsts, for both him and me. Oh, and he said Porsche for the first time yesterday! I'm still working on Ducati, but it comes out like Du-ga.
