Halliburpin' loses the contract

Quote:
Government audits turned up more than $1 billion in questionable costs. Whistle-blowers told how the company charged $45 per case of soda, double-billed on meals and allowed troops to bathe in contaminated water.
Can you say, "corporate malfeasance"?

There must be some mistake. We trust corporations to take the best care of us and our resources and believe they should be freed from all this gubmit over-regulation. This assertion that a corporation might behave irresponsibly in the interest of profits......well that can't be true.

The closest I got to Halliburton was a Chevy pickup, barreling down Pacific Coast Highway, in Malibu, where a lot of sight-seers and cyclists populate. The a-hole must've doing 80-90. Big-assed W sticker on the rear bumper. Ironic how there wasn't a 1-800-HOW AM I DRIVING? sticker on the bumper as well.

The words: "we are above the law" come to me...

1 Billion divided by 100 million taxpayers (to make calculations easier), that is $100 per hard working american familly. Let`s get together and sue those bastards for our $100 back plus $1000 in pain and suffering from being gouged.

Claw back every dime they defrauded; imprison supervisors most directly responsible; investigate every credible claim and publish the results.

Then, do the same to the UN (Oil-for-Fraud).

Then, arrest everyone who defrauded the US government for Katrina relief funds.

Seriously.

No contractor has received more money as a result of the invasion of Iraq than Halliburton, whose former chief executive is Vice President Cheney.
Yep, and some people still don't see the conflict of interest.

Too bad the some people who still don't see the conflict, is Congress itself, and some of our more illuminated journalists.

Impeachment doesn't seem that far fetched now.

+1 for that as well; though "fraud" may be difficult to prove.

If there were one-term limits that'd go a long way to getting stuff done and cutting out a lot of the crap.

I also like the suggestion of eliminating 100% of pork spending and giving line-item veto power to the president. I also think sitting SC justices should be impeachable by either an 8-1 vote of the Supreme Court or a 75% majority of both houses of Congress.

But this stuff would require Constitutional change and that's unlikely to happen anytime soon. . .

Back to our usual "American Aristocracy" I guess. . .

I hear the Jews use the blood of innocent children for their matza...I smell rats' the stench is coming from the democrat party...democrats still believe Gore didn't attempt to steal the 2000 election; they still believe the smokescreen.

Halliburton is a convenient tool, fashioned on the hate-filled democrat propaganda lathe...they are a dual purpose strawman 1) a bludgeon to hammer Bush/Cheney, 2) a rationale to expand confiscatory taxation and enlarging the evil of socialism.

Why not an ounce of outrage at the UN, as they raped the Iraqi people for profit and oil, turning a complicit eye as Saddam wholesale slaughtered his people and starved them to death?

Could somebody please answer that fuking question???
