That's awesome... but I sincerely doubt it will be faster than the Veyron in an category besides top speed. TOP GEAR drag-raced a Ferrari F1 racer and the Veyron, but with one caveat: they let the F1 car hit 125mph before launching the Veyron. The Bugatti hit 200mph first.

F1 cars aren't designed for top speed with all their downforce.

The given 0-180 mph time for the Veyron is about 14 seconds so 0-200 would be maybe another 3-4 seconds on top of that. I find it difficult to believe a Ferrari F1 car couldn't accelerate from 120-200 in 17 seconds so I've got to call bull**** on this.

That was supposed to be a McLaren F1, and it was hypothetical not actual.

Who is up for setting up a group buy? If we can get 200 members on, that would be only $10k a person, assuming a $2M pricetag. Better yet, if we can get 365 people on board we are looking at $5500 a person and you get it for an entire 24-hours. It would be like your own personal 24-hrs of Le Mans.

....oh damn....what about insurance. "Responsible" drivers need only apply.
