More on Bearshare

Caution.. If you do not have an isolated computer to download this malicious probram, DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO USE IT. If you are not an expert on malicous programming, DO NOT go near this thing, its downright EVIL. You may not ever know how evil it is, until its to late. Do not listen to the people who "haven't had a problem with it", they don't know sht. AVOID this program. If you do not you will likely never rid yourself of this scourage.

"Bearshare"?

Sounds like a program for downloading pictures of hairy men.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Jack,

Thought we went through this with you on another "bearshare" thread?

Warning do not use Bearshare!!!!

Now you feel the need to start another one to get away from the others who have said that hey had no problems with it?

Start 20 new threads on it if you like but just because you had problems with it does not mean that everyone else does. Hope you feel better in the morning...

David,

People use it to P2P programs, like the old Kazaa. I use it to download television programs while flying overseas.

When your choice on the tube is "andy of mayberry" in Japanese or Farsi, downloading last weeks CSI or Prison Break and watching it on your laptop is a life saver.

Jack installed Bearshare on his computer and did not like it, so now he has started several threads about it trying to warn everyone that the world as we know it is about to end. I know over 10 people using it now with no problems. YMMV

Bearshare has programs associated with it that are not benign. They infect your computer without your consent or knowledge. They have the capability of destroying your computer software and everything on your computer. Just because you have not had a problem to date does not mean you will not tomorrow. There is no excuse for letting this type of software infect your computer.

A quick google search could have avoided you a bunch of headaches. In two minutes I found the skinny on Bearshare & Bearshare Lite:

Bearshare - Loaded with spyware.
Bearshare Lite - Not as bad, but still loads the Save! adware program, as stated right in the license agreement.

Yea Jack, you are right as usual.

I have been using it for over two (2) years now and no issues with it what so ever. Over 10 of our pilots using the program worldwide and none of them are having any problem but they are all wrong and you are right. Sorry for every questioning you...

Trying to reason with you is like hitting my head on a brick wall. It does no good but feels better when I stop.

BEARSHARE DOES NOT WORK FOR JACK! Feel better now?

Please adjust your tinfoil hat as its coming loose... destroying your computer software and everything on your computer
