Best auto event?
Bonneville Speed Week?
Pebble Beach? Louis Vuitton Classic? Retromobile? What car event is a must-see, and why? I almost went to the Louis Vuitton Classic in NYC a few years ago, but started a new job the week of. So I'm starting to kick ideas around for a trip in 2007... something car-related but also wife-friendly. A mix of car-intensive days, followed by shoe museums and B&Bs with frilly overstuffed pillows.

Monterey Historics, Pebble Beach and Concour Italiano on the same weekend is one of the best events in my opinion.
Goodwood, LeMans and F1 in Monte Carlo are on my list of auto events to see.

Goodwood. I've been to the Festival of Speed. Simply mind blowing. And I hear the circuit weekend in September is just as great.

Goodwood Festival of Speed - where else can you end the weekend in a room with Richard Petty, Stirling Moss, John Surtees, Jackie Ickx, Derek Bell, Nigel Mansell, Randy Mamola, Damon Hill, Jack Brabham, Dan Gurney, Jason Law, Frank Beila, Bruno Senna,Rene Arnoux,Jensen Button, and more. This happened just because I was an ordinary race fan, not a corporate guest!

Goodwood Festival of Speed ... hands down.
Rennsport I, Rennsport II and Monterey were all great but Goodwood simply blew them away.

Hmmm. Monterey has always appealed to me, and wifey would LOVE a trip to Kalifornia. Is the event week-long or just the weekend?
