Someone hacked into my Paypal

Just back from holiday only to find that when away, someone hacked into my Paypal making 7 purchases totalling $320.
I have contacted Paypal who have placed the transactions under investigation.
Has anyone had simular with Paypal and do I have any chance of getting my money back?

if they charged your credit card, your cc company should allow you to only be responsible for $50 of that. maybe you should call the cc company.

I contacted them last night, they said that because my Paypal was set up to direct debit my current account - the problem is with Paypal not themselves.

I always keep my paypal account balance at zero.
When purchasing, I use my credit card and DO NOT ALLOW paypal to debit my account. Ever.

My money and account are relatively safe and if a deal goes bad i can get the CC company to cover it.
