Edited: these posts speak for themselves

Howard:

Hey..I am just having fun.

Didn't mean to hijack. Sorry if I did....unintentional.

I do not mind a good exchange of ideas, in fact I find a lot of points of view here that set me to thinking. What I have difficulty with are people who take themselves far too seriously.

Too narrow an outlook closes in on the individual, isolating themselves from reality with every passing day.

Technicalities? It is more proper to have someone guess to whom a comment is directed than make it plain? Hey...you folks can call me Bob, it's listed for all to see!!

Rodeo 08-05-2006 11:54 AM

The real question in my mind is this:

When fintstone reads the words "I disagree with President Bush's policies," does he really see the words "I support murderous terrorists?"

Or is he just plain dishonest?

I find the banning of Mul, and the subsequent facination with his banning (he has been referenced in many threads, this one as well; by a moderator, no less) telling.

None of you folks are as wise and objective as you wish to believe. :)

I'm just sayin' that 'cause I include myself.

My advice regarding negative posters is still - Ignore, Ignore, Ignore.

oh, I know I have biases. I'm just doing the best I can with what god gave me :p

Oh wait...with what evolution gave me.

Hold on...what was the question?

All we are is dust in the wind...you will find the question in the big K.;)

Fint has an opinion.
Mul has (had) an opinion.
Todd has an opinion.
CC has an opinion.
I have an opinion.

And we all sit to take a dump.

At least I hope...

Personally, I never had a problem with Mul. Yeah, he could be a douche, but so can I, and so can any of you.

I vote for all of us being banned. :D

But wrt venom...doesn't this place seem a bit more calm over the last week?

Nonsense. I'm 6'3" and good looking...

Have you had to kill any threads since the open letter?

I have a small dork and I'm broke.

(Oops, did I say that)?

Considering the fact that I've never made such a statement, your post is not making sense. It's always better to be accurate when posting what others "have said", or at least try not to interpret what has been written into what you "think" you've read.

This is true, he doesn't want us to "do" anything except leave, but he would celebrate the overthrow of Israel by the arabs I'm sure. He just doesn't want us involved.

Correct as far as the US government is concerned.

I would not celebrate, I would, however, say that justice requires return of all land that has been stolen by the european immigrants known collectively as Israeli's to the rightful owners. Voluntary return would avoid bloodshed, but that's unlikely considering current events.

You suppport justice don't you?

I think all the land Israel has was acquired through legitimate military victory. They were attacked and when they defeated their attackers they acquired a portion of their lands as a buffer.

But we both know this isn't about land, those fighting Israel do not fight for land, they fight to push the Jews into the sea. I know this because they say so.

Do you feel allowing this to happen is in the interest of justice? You do support justice don't you?:D

No, this action is unlawful, negating the rest of your post in its' entirety.

You need to do more homework...I'm ready when you are. I'll go back to Babylonian captivity, Titus, the Ottoman Empire, Diaspora, Suez crisis, June War...wherever you desire.

I am not Jewish, but could not hold the State of Israel in higher esteem.

If you hate states, Pat, nothing is unlawful...negating your post. Can't have laws without states.

The Nuremburg Trials made capture of land via conquest illegal, while it had been considered illegal prior to that, the Trials cemented the concept into law.

They are no better than most of the muslim states, and worse than a couple. I hold them in no esteem at all. They are vigorous expansionist warmongers.

That is profoundly incorrect. States, governments, are not required for law at all. Truly, you've some homework to do. I'd recommend Thomas Aquinas for a start.

I was trying to capture the spirit. In one post you said,

"No, I'd be in contact with my muslim brothers in Pakistan to arrange for a real WMD, and then put it right down Omert's throat in Tel Aviv. Might as well start the big one, since the world's standing by while your family gets wiped out by that quirky european country located in the mideast, Israel."

You have nothing to say, but you do it well. And don't lecture me about Aquinas, whom you have clearly misread.
