Israel threatens Lebanon with total annihilation if Tel Aviv attacked

In striking support for the fact that Israel is a mideast terrorist state, it has made this statement.

but if you want to use numbers, use some that make sense, pick a muslim , arab country that is , somewhat stable

besides, how would they develop a system of education? any chance israel get's , they make a run with the bulldozer, and destroy infrastructure ... don't expect the palestines to become smart from chewing dust...

Afghanistan has been a war zone since the beginning of time

I know brilliant Jews, Christians, and Muslims; and that is totally irrelevant to the mideast "situation" today as far as the US governbment is concerned, and as far as I'm concerned as well.

The US government's ties to Israel must cease being differentiated from the relationships with any other country, and all foreign aid from the US government to any other government must cease as well.

Well, I can't say I didn't expect a thread like this, or news like this, to evolve. My initial belief has always been Israel has a right to defend itself. But "total annihilation" goes far beyond what was suggested as being a one or two-week war.

Personally, I had a fear things would escalate to a point where Israel would be, more or less, entrenching itself in a quagmire with Hezbollah, which is how this is shaping up.

Now it seems the country will have to be destroyed to root out all the terrorists - well, now it's beginning to sound a little like our Iraq situation. And like the lion's share of the U.S. population, I don't think the Israelis are ready for such a long-term committment/sacrifice.

FWIW, "Total annihilation" sounds a lot like Bush saying "Bring it on." And so far, neither the U.S. or Israel is winning their wars.

The question is, is the war on terror bad planning on both countries part, or is it simply the fact there are more skilled terrorists than both Israel and U.S. have inasfar as soldiers?

Israel "warns" the Hezbo freaks that if THEY attack Tel Aviv, the Israelis will decimate them. How does this make them terrorists? If the Hezbo freaks decide to attack Tel Aviv, then the Israelis will respond. IOW, if the Hezbo's decide to strike first, the Israelis will respond.
