I wonder if Alonso will "age" well as a driver. He has a very jerky style, and does well because his reaction time is wicked fast. But that will dull with age, and my guess is that unless he learns to have smoother input he won't be as fast as MS when he hits his mid 30's.

Good stuff. Loved watching Alonso's and Schu's different lines at the end of the clip.

Michelins vs. Bridgestones in the wet. The Bridgestones were completely outclassed in those conditions. Michael, who was the highest placed Bridgestone driver at the time, was being passed in the wet by perennial mid pack drivers who happened to be on the Michelins. Once it started to dry out, things changed.

When Alonso passed Michael, he went by where he could, which was on the outside. With the difference in the tires' performance levels, alonso made it look easy.

I thought Michael went with rain tires while everyone else used intermediates?

In 2008 traction control (which FA depends on heavily) is no more. He will age a lot that year.

Iys crap like this that will keep FA from really getting ahead in the long wrong.

This was on Friday during practice against a test driver. Did I mention it was during practice?

He's just establishing his reputation as a prick on the track. If he does that enough he'll create just that split second of doubt in the competition in a passing move, creating an advantage.

But yes, ill timed and overall a dumb move.

Yes he did. He passed a car under a red.

After he knew FA had incurred his penalty putting him to the back of the grid. Which of course put him right back there on the grid with FA and the Midlands and Super Aguri's.

Game, set and match to Schumi in the bonehead move of the weekend contest in Hungary. Not even remotely close in who had greater brain fade.

I am not sure about that. I do not know what happened to cause Shumi to either miss or ignore a red flag. It was practice for gods sake!! Passing in the red a just wrong and agreed dangerous.

But brake checking someone is akin to trying to cause a wreck.
