Karma can be a beeyotch

My inlaws live in the country, Cut'n'Shoot(Actually a place in Texas) They returned home from the store, and noticed that their fence had a 5 foot section removed from it, and when they pulled up to the house, their neice asks if they had taken her little dirt bike somewhere.

Turns out, somebody had taken the Honda 70 or whatever it was, and my brother-in-law's Ninja 600. They called they cops, did the report and all. Figured to never hear about the bike again.

Few days later, my mother-in-law gets a call from one of her son's friends who happened to be a tow truck driver, to tell herthat her son(my brother-in-law) had been severely injured in an accident and had been life flighted to Ben Taub(Trauma center in Houston) He heard the call over the radio and rang her right away. She calls her son, who turns out to be fine. Turns out, guy who stole the bike crashed it, giving himself and his female passenger head injuries. If they survive, they will eat through a tube.

Trippy thing, the brother-in-law had been riding the bike a lot, with fuel so expensive, but had quit recently. Apparently had a "bad feeling" about riding the bike for some reason. Best thing for him that scoot got swiped really, he has the wrong temperment for a bike.

To add insult to injury, this asshat's trial and subsequent jail time won't get under way until (if) he recovers enough to go to trial. Just about the time he's back on his feet... Let's see, and maybe the girlfriend's family will sue him over her injuries. Poor guy.

I sort of doubt that the state of Texas will be interested in pursuing a grand theft charge on a cabbage, be shocker if the guy will be able to figure out how to work a spoon.

As for her family suing, you can't get blood out of a turnip

Right, attractive nuisance.

Sort of like having a trampoline in a locked yard and some kid hopping the fence, breaking his neck and recovering megabucks for it.

Tobra, I'm really glad it wasn't your family friend riding the bike, but you read and see it all the time , criminals sueing their victims, and winning.I see no difference between that type of LawBar cretin and the criminal..
