You need to start backing down the meds, Todd.

And the real EMTs were killed and these Americanized al quaeda operatives took their place. The morphine also had pentathal and they were playing a video projected onto the rear window of the ambulance to make us *think* that we were being transported to Mission Hospital. Instead we were taken to an undisclosed location with a mocked up ER (when we were being wheeled in they said something about remodeling...no I know the truth).

Despite 4 injections of pain killer and truth serum, and the infamous methylene blue torture, I would not give up the locations of my colleagues. My g/f just spoke Chinese to them to confuse them, unfortunately it just pissed them off so they broke her arm (didn't happen in the crash). After signing lengthy "confession" forms, I saw a chance and we made our escape. Crutches are great weapons, especially when you manage to modify them into crude blowguns.

After getting outside the compound we hailed a cab and made our way back to hq. I think I might have an implant in my knee though. I'm going to have to dig around with a rusty knife to make sure. Without anesthesia of course...
Typical Bushist coverup. You and your neo-con lies can't fool us. FastPat has the "true" story and he told me that it was all a work of the Israeli overlords and their Bush puppet. Just like 911 it was actually the CIA trying to make you think that al quaeda was involved to justify the invation of SoCal with their Mexican operatives and turn over profit to their big oil buddies.

Impeach Bush and succeed!!!

Either that or crank them up to the point of black-out.

I'm really glad to hear you and your girlfriend are still walking/hobbling & talking. I'm also glad you're ditching the bikes.

I've investigated a half-dozen or so M/C vs vehicles/animals/peds, etc... and what's usually left is a vegetable in leathers or, like you said, pieces... usually in the tire treads of the 4x4/tractor-trailer that creamed the rider(s) after they went down.

Sorry about your ordeal........I hate those ******* coyotes.

I was driving last night on the back roads on the way home and lo and behold... A coyote !?!

I thought of you, Todd. Right away.

I like the story...I was just a story, right?

so what's 'cripple sex' like?

is it painful w/ stumbling and fumbling or just more fun to lay back and enjoy the (medicated) show?

Wow! Major bummer. I just clicked on this post, I figured it wasn't anything interesting until I noticed all the posts. Now I understand some of your recent replies to other posts.

I hope everything heals well and remember "chicks dig scars". Unfortunately I don't think scars on your legs count.

I just bought my wife another bike (SV650S) after unsuccessfully trying to get her to let me sell both bikes and replace them with a Boxster so we could still have that open air experience. She said the most fun she has is heading up to the Texas Hill Country for a ride. I just hope I never have the opportunity to write a post like your's.

I had pretty bad wreck about 20 years ago which scared me away from bikes for a couple years and left scars on both knees. Moments before the wreck I was debating whether to put on full gear and my new Shoei helmet for a quick ride downtown. Boy am I glad I did. It's extremely rare for me to ride without gear even for a short trip in 100° weather.

I have a big dent in my Baja. I put a bumper sticker on it that says "Chicks dig body damage". I have an extra I could send to you and you could stick it on your pants or something.

I have an instructor that told his story about hitting a moose in Alaska today. Thats right I am still taking auto classes at age 57. Thought of you. His bike was totaled. He walked. His helmet looks like road scrapings. You all were very very lucky.

Todd,

I just stumbled into this thread. WOW

Glad to hear you and G/F survived and I am sure you will back to yourself soon. Treat the pain aggressivley and get mobile (non-motor powered) as soon as you can. It will do both your mind and your body wonders. As we all age, our bodies seem to act out for various reasons. I am glad that higher power (god to some) decided that the brain should rule and give us the internal tools to overcome most (if not all issues).

Get well soon my friend.

Wow Nostatic! It's great to see you're still here. I missed this whole adventure until I saw you asking about automatics on the racing page. I guess you have been given a few more days to make an impact on the world. I hope that you've had the opportunity to hug your son and significant other and let them know what they mean to you. You never know when you won't have the chance to do it again.

BTW, consider yourself lucky. Be happy that it wasn't something bigger -- out here it's not unheard of to have mooses wondering around. Picture a cow on stilts!

Happy you're alive.

This is disheartening as I have really been wanting to get a streetbike. Theres a bunch of guys around here that have them, a Yamaha R6, an old R1, a Honda CBR600F4.. I have been really, really getting into them, especially since i'm working around a Formula SAE car which is using a tuned up Yamaha R6 engine. 16000 rpm is so beautiful.

Not quite the same thing I suspect as what you were on but same principle. Two wheels is not four.

My Duc wasn't a crotch rocket, but it had plenty of juice. I love the sound of an I4 engine climbing past 13K...as well as the rumble of a desmo v-twin. Not for the time being though...

Saw the ortho guy today. Told me I have to straighten out the leg to make rehab easier. Wound seems to be closing up pretty well so far (knock on wood). Have a leg immobilization thing that I have to wear once I can straighten the leg. Almost there. If things keep going well I should be back clutching by the end of the year (and hopefully a lot sooner).

I just read this today. Glad you are okay, but damn!

Get better fast. You have a racer's clinic in December that is a must-do.
