Sounds like the (ex-)salesman has the moral high ground. I think the lawyer has a bit of an insecurity problem.
I keep cats too - so what? And my opinion of Mercedes-Benz just went down a few notches as well. Forget buying anything from them in a while. A company that'd FIRE someone over something like this? Sheesh.

I think the salesman was on probation with Mercedes and fired because he used the net for chatting at work... Still, the lawyer shouldn't have pursued it that far... after all, it's a forum argument!
