We're bored so we are going to buy a house

Apparently we have too much disposable cash (not really).

My wife gets the whim last week to "look at larger homes" and we are putting our house on the market in a few days.

Not that I am opposed to it. I always need more room, like the next guy.

So this should be interesting with anticipation of how it will turn out!

Cheers,

Just make sure you get a bigger garage.

As always...

The garage can not be big enough...

And...

Better to play with a larger house than look for a larger displacement

Like someone told my wife, better he plays with 4 wheels than 2 legs!

Cheers,

Garage
I was going to have a big ass garage built a couple of years ago. Problem was, as the date to break ground approached, the wife was becoming more disgruntled & complaining that we needed a bigger house. I ate the $1k deposit that I had given the contractor, and we started to look for a bigger home. My only prerequisites was a detached garage & gas heat.

Didn't take long, sold our home before it even hit the market & won the bidding war on the first home we looked at because we took it as is. The old owners needed to get out of town asap. Second best decision we ever made besides having our son.

Hope everything goes as smooth for you.

What do you want for yours and more importantly why on earth would you consider buying (or selling) now?

Thanks everyone for your input.

I am not looking to move outside of my 1 mile radius, just looking for an additional 1000 SF. We have found a few home that might be interesting.

As a licensed real estate appraiser, I would like to think I know what is going on, as I am in the field every single day. I would like think that I have my finger on the pulse of the local market!

Wayne, I appreciate your input.

Looks like we are moving up!

Unless you are in Pinal county. It was investor city and now have 69 listings to 13 sales. Did one today. Dropping list price to get noticed.

That is the Million dollar question.

We didn't see the 50% increase 8-12 months out, before it happened. Can't predict the future as well as a palm reader.

We call it the Summer of '05. One that will never be repeated.

To add to it, I detonated cylinder #5 last weekend at the track. We might be adding an additional $10K to the list price to fix the car!!!

I am an appraiser, not an agent. Simply telling the facts not making them up.

When you list it and get an offer, I'll be happy to appraise it. Even give you a Pelican Discount.

And left a nasty puddle of oil in the paddock, I might add!

I think Don Davis has a photo or two of the flat bed.

It was the worst, or close to it, day of my life.

Your car was heading out as I was heading in... didn't know it was yours until I asked Jeff whose car had left the puddle. Sorry to hear about your pain, but I guess there's a price to pay for trying to keep up with a certain red light weight '87.

No offense intended, but that's funny.
