For a good laugh read any of Terry Pratchett's books. They are a witty, and funny commentary on modern times.

Funny how we were all exposed to the same works. Loved Gatsby and (still love to read) Catch 22 for the enjoyment. Never made it through Jane Eyre. Not even the Cliff Notes.

"A Separate Peace" struck me then as now with a flawed main character haunted by the past.
