why did Mul get banned?

For those of us that have been off Pelican for a while is there a thread or can anyone explain how or why Mul got banned? I always enjoyed his writing (rants).
Steve

From what I gather, because a lot of people complained about him.

Do not buy that. If that was the case we could all gang up on someone and get them tossed. Nostatic is a fair guy and would need more than that to toss Mul.

Would also like to know what happened...

A number of cumulative reasons, but the final straw was when he posted something, I edited the post to remove what I deemed to be objectionable content (with the usual pic removed - ns). He immediately went in and redited his post putting the content back in, and also added it to his sig.

NoStatic,

What is the situation on someone who is banned. Is there a time limit or do you have to purchase $$$ from Pelican before you can come back? Three strikes and you are gone forever or how does it work? Curious since Mul has done it twice now...

I heard that the reason he got banned was that he called Todd a poo-poo head

there is no set procedure. What you think we're organized around here? We're an adhocracy. As an uncompensated servant I just do my best to make the spam disappear and keep things to a dull roar.

And calling me names will get you nowhere. Didn't work for my ex(s)...

Mark was born banned. He can't help it. Genetics...

It must eat Mul alive to know he can't respond to...

Liberals will lead us on the correct path

Hillary is the best prospect yet...

Iraq was a mistake: the country was better run under Saddam...

9/11 was a conspiracy begun by Bush. Osama bin Laden was made up to be an enemy and excuse to pave the way to fooling Americans with Iraq...

And Mul would, no doubt, set such detractors straight...

Mul was just smarter than the liberals...That could not be permitted. They had started a couple threads designed to bash him..trying to build a consensus to ban him. The dope fell into their trap...gave them an excuse by committing a technical foul...but not as bad as many others with more...er...liberal leanings....not very sporting IMHO

I can't ever remember Mul posting what I would consider "objectionable content." Most of his posts were pretty tame compared to some who post with impunity. What exactly did he post (on a thread that was calling for him to be banned)...that was worse than the actual thread...after all, wasn't it a thread led by a moderator...looking for a consensus to ban him? Such a thread attacking a poster just because he held a differing viewpoint really seems unfair and provacative to me. It is too bad that we could not see what Mul actually did....and too bad that he was never allowed the opportunity to defend himself here.
