Transparent VW Factory pictures..
Have a look at this! http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1837641. Not sure if they still build phaetons at all? I do wonder if some other VW car is now built in this amazing facility? Deeply cool factory nonetheless!

Lots of new technology, thinking outside the box and empty space. Pretty cool aesthetically and probably ergonomically, but from an fiscal standpoint, I cannot imagine it is a rewarding investment.

How much nardwood did that floor require?! I thought at first it was bamboo, but on closer views it appears to be oak/maple or something similar.

All this for the Phaeton which is a total market failure. This is what happens when car companies try to be all things to all people. Porsche, are you listening?
Beautiful factory, but is merely a testament to Piech's exorbitant spending habits. |
